My wife and I enjoyed every bit of our meal here. The staff are lovely and there is a very chilled and laid back atmosphere, which was just what we needed after our walk along the seafront. Well recommend.

A Greene King pub on the seafront close to The Queens hotel. Back in the early 1970's and still at school I worked part time at the Queens. We would come here for our breakfast break. A pint and a game of darts. Still got two dart boards. Games room also has large TV's. ( Oddly nit here 50 yesrs ago!) Deric ( Flat Eric's cousin from Blackburn) making a rare day out with us. Treating us to an excellent GK breakfast and coffee. Opens at 10 am. Four real ales usually on sale. A popular community pub. Free wifi. Function room, outside patio. Deric had a half of Harvey's Sussex Best for old times sake. Very good.

Extensive food selection (almost too much ?) so could cater for all tastes. Great service from the friendly staff. Food generally good and promptly served - the only slight complaint was my belly pork was slow cooked but tougher than I would have expected. Still tasty though.

Stopped here for lunch before hiking to Beachy Head.
I opted for a Turkey roast dinner which was really good - felt like a homemade roast with lots of veg, roast potatoes, creamed potatoes, Yorkshire and a pig in a blanket. Great value for money!
We were sat in a very quiet part of the pub - a 2nd area of the main bar, which was pretty quiet and took a little bit of time to get served.
Overall a really nice pub and would defo recommend for a roast on Eastbourne.
