Comfortable, friendly staff, nice breakfast but very tired hotel
Breakfast was good with lots of choice and quality food, staff throughout the hotel really friendly, comfy bed, bathroom looked like it had recently been renovated, great location for town centre and seafront. Entertainment in the evenings good. Parking convenient
Room was deemed a 'superior' however bathroom door handle coming loose, gap above the bathroom door with a very crooked door / frame, window frames in bedroom leaky and in need of repair or replacement, several what looked like cigarette burns on the carpet? The room seemed really tired. Was only superior really in size. Only one 1 lift working (out of 2), which is the same as a few months ago when we last stayed. We used the stairs most of the time as the 1 lift was having a job to cope. There were large buckets collecting (presumably) rain water from the ceiling, which was slightly worrying as that was on the ground floor which has 4 floors above it! And lastly our first impressions of the room, were walking in to flick the light switch and nothing happening. Eventually after making our way in the dark to the bedside table (well into the room) we found a bedside light. Turns out the light switch by the door is redundant with no light on the ceiling!! There's just a blanking plate on the ceiling, so why the light switch?!

Matt the manager was superb.
Matt on reception was so lovely.
He upgraded my room to a sea view.
Hes so friendly and profesional.
Really cant fault the hotel and all the staff..
