This hotel is great VFM. Friendly staff where nothing is too much trouble. A bit dated but very clean and comfortable. Room was warm and clean. Tea and coffee plus hairdryer for my wife. Good hot water for the bath. Very close to pier and all bus stops. Appeared to be no car park but I was offered cheap on road parking pass which I did not need. Came on bus. Breakfast was excellent. Roomy and airy restaurant and plenty of food. Good bar area and free wifi in main lounge area. Would I stay here again ? In a shot !!!

First time to have a weekend in Eastbourne was pleasantly surprised to the standard of service and accommodation. Evening entertainment was Good. The only thing I didn't like was having to choose my evening meal at breakfast. Hotel itself was clean , bedroom comfortable, bathroom and bit small but ok. Would go again.

Went on a coach trip with Edwards Coaches. On arrival, the Manager Jason came on to the coach to greet us-a nice touch! Our room was at the front of the Hotel (312). Thought it might be noisy due to the traffic on the prominade. After about 9.30 in the evening became very quiet. Room was clean with Tea and Coffee plus hairdryer. Also good flat TV. Picture was first class. Our only gripe was the pressure of our Shower--almost non exsistant. Did tell the Manager, who suggested lowering the Shower Head. Made no difference. Put it down to the fact that we were on the Third floor. Food and Entertainment were really good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our visit.

This hotel is in an excellent hotel set just back from the sea front and opposite Eastbourne pier. It is within easy walking distance of the town center and many restaurants. I have only ever stayed in a single room but this has always been clean with a comfortable bed. The overall decor of the rooms is dated, however at the price charged this is good value for money. A kettle and television is provided in the room and the windows open for fresh sea air. The staff are always friendly and the hotel bar serves real ale (Harveys of Lewes)

Very clean hotel. Good quality bed linen and towels. Very comfortable beds. Had room 116 which had a balcony which would have been lovely in the summer. Nice bar at good prices and friendly staff. Breakfast very basic and small portions but it was expected for the cheap price of the room. Very central hotel opposie the pier and near restaurants.

Mina at Ditzy Media is great; we had a scheduled 1:1 Zoom for our charity (Mediation Plus) and she patiently talked through key components of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn and answered our queries without making us feel like complete numpties!

Well run budget hotel and you get what you pay for. Beds comfy and room fine, bathroom dated and overheated! Could not control the thermostat. Breakfast not to my taste. Not cooked well enough. bacon was a bit underdone. Staff excellent. The only real downside was, and it was no reflection on the hotel, was the noise outside. We had a room that overlooked the pier and as it was the weekend suffered noisy groups leaving the pier at 3am. Sleep was impossible.

We stated at the afton for weekend break, the staff are wonderful and couldn't be more help ful , the bar area is lovely and inviting and always someone around , now for the few downer bits sadly, the shower as stated in other reports , is more a dribble, ladies with long hair opt for a salon then trying to wash it in there, breakfast is very dated , names on tables,?? I think it could realy be getting with the times a bit maybe visit the cavendish for ideas. The rooms are clean with fresh lining but there is a inch wide of dust around edge of carpet and skirting, not very nice, this is no reflection on hotel but on head of house keeping, and wow it's 2013 a guy with a key board??? People over 60 do like some young variaty to, contact your local college invite young entertainment in and great on your budget, we would use hotel again it's a shame these little things are there but so easily corrected xx

Perfectly located within 1 minutes walk of the pier and beach. Just 5 minutes from the centre of town where there are lots of shops, pubs and restaurants. It is about 1.5 miles along the beach to the beginning of Beachy Head.
There was parking right outside hotel and a parking permit can be purchased for £1 per day from the hotel.
The hotel is a bit dated, but the friendly staff and the lovely English Breakfast more than make up for that.
Drinks prices at the bar are standard pub prices and there was entertaiment in the evening.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and if we return to the area we would definitely stay here again. For £60.00 per night for 2 peaople in a double room, it is a bargain.
