First of all I have to say this hotel is fantastic value for money. The holiday started with our wonderful coach driver Tony, who made us laugh, was helpful and knowledgable of the local area.

The management of Burlington have got it bang on target for service which was reflected by the smiles on everyones faces. The staff were friendly and would go out of their way enough to help you.

The rooms were cleaned daily. Fresh towels and items for the tea tray were well supplied. The rooms decor was a little dated which I thought added character to the place. The beds were comfortable and the room was warm and cosy.

The meals were hot and plentiful and as for our waitress; she was efficient and helpful.
Mark the entertainment compare was just perfect for this job. The bar staff looked as though they were genuinely happy in their job, they really made our Tinsel and Turkey, 'New Year's Eve' Party go with a bang. The effort the staff made enabled the night to be spectacular.
If there was only one little quip, it was that there was not enough seating for the entertainment. Having said that the hotel was to full capacity, so what do you expect?

I cannot thank staff enough for their individual effort. It goes without saying we will definately be staying at the Burlington when we next visit Eastbourne.

Really enjoyed our trip to the Burlington. I rang up to request a 1st Floor room as I have health issues and had read the lift was always busy. This was accomodated as well has requesting a newly decorated room which are lovely. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic please give our special thanks to Rebecca. The driver Tony 2 teds was also excellent he is funny and knowledgable. The trips were good enjoyed Brighton and the Pavillion. The only disappointing thing was the entertainment and the lack of space to accomodate everyone in the evening. Jac was rubbish, he shouted in the microphone there was not enough good music but other than that really enjoyed our stay. Would definately recommend it to friends and family and would return but hope that there is different compare.

I would recommend Turkey and Tinsel at the Burlington to everyone. I went to support the residents I work for, in total there was 24 of us, 15 residents and 9 staff and the staff at the Burlington bent over backwards for us and made our break. The evening entertainment as great and we all had such fun.We would like to say a special Thank you to the bar staff ( Matt, Matthew and JC ) our waitress ( name not know ) and the girls on reception.
The only things that could be improved on is the main course and the main toilets could do with being up-dated but saying that it hasn't stopped us from booking for next year already.
Loved it and can not wait till next year.

My wife and I spent a turkey and tinsel weekend booked through our over 55s club. Our room was 124 on the first floor. It is in need of refurbishment eg, a very poor quality mattress, poor bathroom facilities wth a plastic sink circa 1980s and a small toilet at an impossible angle to go reminiscent of trying to go sitting on a doughnut, the tv was an early samung on a floor mount so low that you could not watch it in bed,the carpet needed a good clean. Plus points were the food which was excellent even if our waitress forgot to introduce herself and did not smile until it was time to go home and lashings of hot water. I feel that I must give a special mention to Mark Snow who kept the entertainment going on his own. I am afraid that this turkey and tinsel holiday with shearings was very unchristmassy and needs a total rethink. I can not for the life of me understand why the hotel does not close a room down at a time and refirbish it as to keep selling that room/holiday in that state makes bad customer relations instead of people wishing to book again or pass on recomendation to others. My wife and I understand fully that you only get what you pay for but we as world travellers expect certain standards that unfortunatley the great British public seem to put up with. Come on the Burlington and Shearings sort it all out and we will visit again.....

My wife and I together with my sister in law and her husband have just had a wonderful long weekend Turkey and Tinsel break at The Burlington Hotel in Eastbourne.
This hotel is situated on the seafront and overlooks the pier and beach. I would recommend that any one going there should book a room with a seaview as the view of the pier, gardens and beach is wonderful. Especially in the evenings when the pier is covered in lights and also in the mornings watching the sun come up.
Although the hotel is old (it dates back to the 1850's) and is a little dated you can see what an impressive building it has been and rooms are currently being refurbished.
We had a very large room on the third floor, the beds were fine and the bathroom had a shower over the bath and there was always plenty of hot water. The room came with tea and coffee making items and the towels were changed every day. There was a television in the room which just showed the main five channels and unfortunately the hotel does not have Wi Fi at the present time.
The food at breakfast was very good, a good variety of cereals and porridge followed by a full English. Evening meals also very good, with nice soups and on Saturday we had Christmas dinner and a very good beef meal on Sunday. Special mention must be given to our waitress Goscia who worked really hard and always had a smile and was very pleasant.
With 300 people there last weekend there was not enough seating or tables in the entertainment area but we found that with mainly elderly residences a number of people went to their rooms after bingo was played and seats then became available.
The resident host in the evenings Mark Snow who did the bingo, told jokes and sang was brilliant, very funny and great entertainment. The bar staff also came out from behind the bar and joined in with the entertainment to ensure that every one had a good time. It was a shame that Sunday was Marks night off as the entertainment was not quite so good.
The hotel is situated about a ten minute walk to Eastbournes town center which has a great number of shops and cafes / restaurants and the Arndale Shopping Mall had a wonderful selection of shops which would spoil any shopper.
A great weekend spent at a lovely hotel, we would love to return again soon.

our stay at this hotel, was very nice! the room we stayed in was very basic standard room, very clean, butin some need of re-decoration, and the windows desperatly need maintaining, but over all it was a very pleasant stay very quiet in the rooms, no disturbance and we were on 3rd floor. the maids service was excellent, very pleasant to the guests. the food was excellent with 5 or 6 choices each day. the waiting staff work very hard to make sure everyone has what they want. the bar staff very friendly, especially mathew, the entertainer went all out mark snow, was excellent, the hotel are very lucky to have him( hes the only man i know that can multi-task successfully) ha ha. the reception staff were very helpful. everyone at the hotel was very pleasant and friendly and we would definatley stay there again, almost opposite the pier oin the front, fantastic views and plenty of shops just round the corner, a very delightful place, thanks everyone for making our stay happy ***** jackie burgess

A few days away with Shearings. Good value holiday. The bedroom could do with being spruced up and was a bit cold. The bathroom radiator never got warm even after being reported as not working. Restaurant service was excellent and food was good.
