I was booked in here for 4 nights and besides having to pay extra for parking (£6 per night) it was still good value. The bar was bright and cheerful (very friendly staff). Although I didn't eat at the hotel the menu looked good, (I did order the packed lunch on my last day). If visiting Eastbourne again I would certainly check out the Burlington again.

My room was spacious the bathroom however the toilet itself is clearly in the wrong place I am a disabled person of a larger size and found it very difficult to use the actual toilet. Also the toilet in the ballroom is totally unsuitable for people who have mobility problems too many stairs

The Burlington Hotel is like an elderly Aunt, very tired, needs a lot of money spent on it to make it more comfortable. The ancient sash windows need replacing especially in the front of the building. We spent our last evening
there sat in a mini gale. The radiator in our room didn't work so a mobile radiator was supplied The carpet in our room was very dirty. However, having decided we couldn't spend the night in such a cold room, the receptionist kindly moved us to a superior, renovated room at the rear of the building which wasn't getting the wind coming through the window.
Car parking, even though we had to pay for it, was at the rear of the hotel. Breakfast was usual buffet. Staff friendly and helpful. Building needs tlc.

Staff lovely, food lovely however had to move rooms as the windows wouldn’t shut properly so freezing and windy in the room. Receptionist lovely and quickly upgraded us to a bigger room. Similar issue with one of the windows so had to use a towel to cover the draft. Very dated throughout but room itself did the job. Ate in the bar for lunch and dinner as found the restaurant menu very limiting. Also no mention of cost and seems to be a set menu which all gets charged to your room. Would I stay again? Maybe in the summer as the winter weather was the main issue with the window situation I think.

The bathroom was freezing as same issue with window in there. Draft coming through all night

Again cannot fault the staff. Efficient and attentive. Would come back for them alone .

Sophie and Jess were excellent and so helpful.

We stayed fot New Years Eve and had a great time.

The breakfast is fantastic. Really worth going.

We had a view over the pier. It was awful weather and the wind hammered the sash windows. A comfortable room with a great view.

Excellent and friendly customer service from all members of staff at reception and at breakfast. Spacious and clean room with good views from the fourth floor. The bed was very comfortable and the extra radiator was very much appreciated. The peeling paintwork in the room needs some attention. A coffee machine with options such as cappuccino/latte/mocha would have been a nice addition to breakfast. I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel.

I attended a course at the Burlington and stayed for 3 nights. Yes it’s a bit tired and showing its age, but I could not fault the friendliness and attitude of the staff. They couldn’t do enough for us. What lovely people. We had set menus throughout the stay - tasty, good portions, good breakfasts too.

We couldn't fault the friendliness of the staff, especially the barman who was working on the evening of 31st January, and the ladies at breakfast, talking of breakfast the food was very good and plenty of choice, the location was great, however the room was dated, dirty and the bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab! The noise outside at night was extremely off-putting with lots of drunken shouting

The Burlington Hotel is a beautiful historic building. The glory of it has faded and so yes, there were a few water stains on the ceiling and new lower quality later insertions into the fabric. But for the price it was a fantastic stay. The small single had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable. It was all very clean, but could do with a refit or at least redecoration. My curtain was hanging off the rail at one end, and there wasn't a maintenance man to fix it, but I managed fine. Dinner was a pleasant surprise. 3 courses included and great portions. Breakfast was a great full English and there was also pastries, cereal, yoghurts etc on offer. The dining room is fabulous. A real gem of the Edwardian age. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and let me explore the ground floor. The location is ideal for tourists as it is right on the beach and opposite the pier. Parking spaces were limited, so I ended up parking on the street behind rather than in the hotel car park. However I only needed to purchase 1hr as street parking is free after 6pm, so it actually worked out cheaper.

Downsides:- Maintenance could have been better. For example the curtain being off one-end of the pole and too high for me to fix myself. There was no liquid soap left in the dispenser, which could easily have been checked by the maids. The shower hose was a little blocked from limescale, so I had to run my hand over the silicone nozzles to get full flow. A deadbolt would have been a good addition to the bedroom door for extra security, especially for solo travelers.
