Overall, a decent hotel. Other rooms (for higher prices) might have been nicer. Decent value. The breakfast buffet was always the same, always delicious every morning though they ran out of scrambled eggs mid morning one morning and did not make more (they had other sunny side up option available). Other breakfast foods were available.

Close to Eastbourne Pier (which was great!), close to Terminus Road (Pedestrian Street with shops and restaurants, which was great!) and hotel staff were ALWAYS friendly.

Food was good quality, albeit pricier. Good 3-course meals for dinner for £25 which was nice appetizer, main (with vegetarian option) and dessert. Changed daily.
The room felt a bit cramped. The “twin” beds felt small though were springy with a couple extra pillows and one extra blanket for two beds.

The heat and water pressure in the shower every morning (around 730am) was abysmal.

Could not figure out air conditioning unit.

The hotel also went cashless midway through the trip so we had to pay for things by credit card because they would not accept monies any longer at either hotel restaurant or hotel pub. This was frustrating as tourist, since was only told about transition the night before.

Rooms were advised to be cleaned (ie, tell front desk when we wanted housekeeping) and not always done in time.
