Walked all around Eastbourne looking for a Sunday Roast. Nowhere at all in the town. Googled and this pub was suggested.
What a find. I had the belly pork and it was beautiful. Crispy crackling and massive piece of meat. This was accompanied by a great selection of fresh cooked veg and an added treat if leeks in white sauce. The roast potatoes could well have been deep fried as they had no colour but this was not a major issue as they hone made gravy more than over compensated.
My Partner had roast beef and was mire than happy. Realistic price too. We didn't have dessert as we wanted to sample the local ice cream on the pier.
Would defiantly come again.

Popped in before going to the theater. It was busy but we found a table, ordered our meal Came out after a very short wait. Piping hot and very presentable, tasted nice compliments to the chef and staff for their good service. Will be back

Here for a beer but the food menu looks good and it must be popular as lots of tables reserved for tonight.

Great pub,nice and friendly with Sky Sports available if you need to catch the footy.They have a good food menu,and plenty on offer if you are veggie or vegan.So going for a pint and a bite with a non veggie sport watching partner just became really easy

Spent an hour or so here drinking wine and singing along with the live music. Everyone was friendly. A really nice pub.

visited Sunday night had a fantastic meal Dog allowed to sit at table while you eat Bar staff and service was excellent This is my second visit to this pub and I love it so friendly Will return when next in Eastbourne

A nice friendly pub good atmosphere, great food staff very helpful. A typical British pub, they also had entertainment guitarist singer on the night we visited.

We popped in here for a cold beer and ended up staying for lunch. We ordered one of the daily specials - the lamb burger which came with chips and coleslaw. It was really good! The beer was cold and the service excellent.

What a great pub. We were here for the weekend and dropped in here for a drink on the Friday - but stayed because of the great live music and atmosphere. Ended up coming here Saturday to watch the football and stayed here for dinner. Sunday - after a very disappointing experience in another pub in the town - to watch the Ryder Cup and stayed and had a fab roast dinner. Would definitely recommend because of the staff, the atmosphere, the food and the whole community/social spirit of this pub. Well done Crown & Anchor - you are a credit to Eastbourne - Sharon & Trish xxxx
