On the road parallel to the front and facing the sea, this is an excellent, friendly local serving good, indeed excellently kept, beer and food with a smile. If I lived in, rather than was only visiting Eastbourne, I would make this a regular "pit stop". A comfortable and well appointed pub with a separate "sports bar" section, this was a friendly pub with chatty locals and engaging, cheerful bar staff. Highly recommended.

Been here a few times when visiting. Never eaten here though. We visit on saturday nights and theres always a good band playing. Friendly staff and locals, some a bit loud but hey its a pub!!! Will always come back, cheers guys

Nice, friendly Greene King pub with a good range of ales. Although almost on the front it is east of the pier and popular with locals and tourists alike. Effectively two rooms - a lounge and a sports bar. Extensive and reasonably priced menu with specials, not the usual GK fayre. Regular music nights and always served with a smile.

This is a good "typical" English pub, with a nice menu, comfortable seating, quick and efficient service and a separate area dedicated to sports (billiard etc.). The food is excellent and portions tend to be on the huge side. There's also a separate menu for children.

My partner and I are local's at the Crown & Anchor and can only recommend this fabulous vegetarian classic to the specials board. The Halloumi burger is a great summer treat and as ever the welcome is warm and atmosphere vibrant in this seafront location on the Sunshine Coast!
Definitely come by if you happen to be in Eastbourne.

Visited here whilst on a break to Eastbourne. The food was good although presentation of seafood platter not that good but tasted nice. Sat with empty plates whilst young lady at bar busy chatting to young men about her weekend. Plates eventually collected no offer of pudding or coffee forthcoming so left without either but would of had dessert if the staff had been bothered about customer service.

Good pub food together with a selection of four real ales. Busy but excellent service, very helpful staff.
