Hotel was OK but needs a bit of money spent on it , paint , carpets , bathrooms ect
The rooms were a bit dated , carpets were stained, paint peeling off windows, generally needs a refresh

It was okay
The location was good. The room was okay but the bathroom was very small and difficult sit on the toilet comfortably as area between bath and opposite wall was 18 inches at most!
The bathroom and the smell of landing leading to our room and also the room smelt of old smoke and we could not open the windows

Great location, right on the front overlooking the sea. Staff were brilliant, very friendly, professional & helpful. Has the feel of an old fashioned family run hotel even though its part of a chain.
Breakfast was lovely with a great choice, snack bar very good. Yes, as others have said, hotel is a bit tired and could do with a bit of tlc. However, walking along the front, they're all like that.
Heads up; Eastbourne council have decided to do pavement & road resurfacing until Dec19 2025, which does have an impact, not only on the roads but especially if you're at the back left hand side of the hotel, like we were. Getting woken up by a kango at 7am is not great. A lot of restaurants in the road adjacent to the hotel were closed, but there is plenty of choice further into the town

Bar and restaurant staff The bar and restaurant times are a bit like 1950s Butlins.I appreciate the hotel knows its core clientele but many people these days like to eat after 7.30 p.m. and buy a drink after 11 p.m
