We booked our wedding in December 2021 when the venue was a building site with only the plans and ideas to go by, for our October 2023 wedding.
After 18 months of uncertainty, the wait and trepidation of the venue not being ready in time paid off.
The venue looked absolutely incredible. Emma’s plans and imagination developed into something truly beautiful.
Janie took over the management of the site and did everything possible to put our minds at ease, offering for us to see the venue and progress at any time. In the final weeks leading up to the wedding, the night before and on the day, Janie could not do enough to help.
Dean the catering manager was amazing. The food was absolutely out of this world. He gave us so much flexibility to make it “us.” The wedding breakfast was delicious and we opted for hot bloomer sandwiches and pizza for the evening rather than a traditional buffet which went down a treat.
We had so many compliments on how stunning the venue looks and how great the food was. The whole wedding from arriving the night before to leaving after breakfast the following morning was so relaxed and was had such a nice atmosphere. The location of the venue is fantastic, it isn’t far from the main line train station, and yet it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, the scenery and the peace and quiet was so special.
If anything went wrong, neither me, my husband or any guests knew anything about it!
Absolutely everyone had an incredible day, despite our wedding being almost 6 months ago, people are still talking about it! We can’t recommend Alfriston Gardens enough. Thank you so much to Janie, Emma, Dean and the rest of the team at Alfriston Gardens for making our day so special and certainly one to remember!

Our company Christmas Party was held at Alfriston Gardens, and what a magical event it turned out to be. Left in the capable hands of Janie and her team, the event ran like clockwork and was thoroughly enjoyed by all 80 of us!
The sit-down meal was delicious, and the catering staff were attentive and polite. The venue looked simply stunning, from the towering 10-foot Christmas tree to the balloon installation reflecting our brand colours and carefully dressed festive tables. Janie's meticulous attention to detail resulted in the barns being decorated even more beautifully than we had envisioned.
From Alfriston’s selection of preferred suppliers, we hired an exceptional magician, DJ, saxophonist and photobooth. The entertainment surpassed expectations and made our Christmas party one to remember. I could not recommend Alfriston enough as the ideal venue for any event.

Our Annual General Meeting at Alfriston Gardens was an immediate success. From the initial enquiry through to the actual event, the attention to detail the events team dedicated to our Company Away Day was impressive.
The team made sure that everyone in the room had clear visibility of the presentation, and all the tables were set-up with refreshments and stationery. There were regular breaks where food and drinks were provided, and the buffet lunch was delicious.
The PA and AV equipment worked flawlessly, and the team were always on-hand to help. They were even able to bring the lunch forward last minute, due to a scheduling issue we had on the day. They couldn’t have been more flexible and willing to accommodate our needs, and Oak Lodge (the area of Alfriston that we had the event) was spotless.
Alfriston Gardens was a superb choice for our corporate event, and we will certainly be rebooking it in the future.

We had our dream wedding at Alfriston Gardens at the end of March 2024. Everything was perfect from start to finish, with lots of our guests saying it is the best wedding they have ever been to! We first booked the venue when it was still being renovated but we saw the vision come to life month by month until it became all that we had hoped. Janie (Hotel and Events Manager) was extremely thorough and supportive throughout the planning process. Dean took care of all our catering needs for the entire weekend, with people paying massive compliments to how amazing the food was. The rooms for our guests were modern, clean and stylish. Lavender Lodge is extremely luxurious and the perfect place to get ready on the morning of the wedding and provided a relaxing place to debrief the wonderful day we had. We are so grateful and thankful to the entire team for helping to make our day so special. Alfriston Gardens will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

We attended our son and daughter in laws wedding June 2024 and it was an absolutely perfect day from start to finish.
All areas of the venue were immaculate.
The venue is stunning and all the staff were so friendly attentive and helpful in every way.
The grounds are beautifully maintained and there are so many perfect places for photos.
The food was delicious and the breakfast the next morning had so much variety to cater for everyone’s taste.
I cannot recommend it more highly.

Alfriston Gardens was the perfect venue for our wedding. Janie made sure our every need was catered for. Nothing was too much trouble. We had so many compliments on the stunning venue. The sun shone for us and the gardens were in full bloom for everyone to enjoy. Alfriston is beautiful inside and out, with stunning rooms to stay in so all our family and friends could stay over. Janie allowed us to visit the venue and chat with her whenever needed prior to the wedding which reassured us everything would run smoothly.
The catering by Dean and his team was impeccable and our requests were met and nothing was too much trouble. We also had
so many compliments on the delicious food. Altogether we can’t recommend this venue highly enough and would do it all over again without changing a thing. If we could give more than 5 stars we would.

We were lucky enough to celebrate our wedding day at the stunning Alfriston Gardens. The barns and incredible gardens were the perfect backdrop for us to celebrate with our friends and family. The food provided by Dean and team was absolutely delicious and we want to give a massive thank you to them, Janie and the rest of team for making our wedding completely stress free. We had a truly wonderful day!

We were booked to play at a wedding here on the 8th June, this was our first time performing at this venue and it was such an amazing day, the staff were very friendly, helpful and above all very organised, we play many weddings and it’s rare for everything to run on time but Alfriston Gardens achieved it, the grounds outside were beautiful complimented with the great weather we had on the day, perfect setting for a wedding or any other event, highly recommend!

Me and my Partner were lucky enough to get married at this beautiful venue. It was an absolutely perfect day we could have asked for nothing more. The venue itself is gorgeous, the barns are spotless and the decor/atmosphere is amazing. The accommodation is absolute luxury all of our guests commented on how lovely their rooms were be it a shepherds hut or a hotel room.
Janie the venue manager was so attentive to make sure we were comfortable throughout the day, she is utterly amazing and just helped the day flow brilliantly.
Dean and Matt catered through the venue and the food was delicious, large portions of great quality food which again was commented upon by all our guests.
