My husband and I and our little dog stayed at the Afton Hotel the weekend just gone and we had a thoroughly good time there and within Eastbourne. The gentleman on the reception desk were very helpful, kind and informative. Our room had a gorgeous sea view and opened onto a decorative balcony (not safe to use but lovely to open up onto). The room was clean, bed very comfy, had everything you needed - tea/coffee, good size tv etc. The only negative is it's outdated and could do with a refurb however this is purely cosmetic as everything functioned well and suited us perfectly. It's also a very good price for the location too as it's right by the pier and the seafront. Would definitely stay again next time we visit Eastbourne. Highly recommend.

Great store! Has everything you need and if you can't find it, the lovely owner will find it and order it in for you. Definitely worth a visit!

Enjoyed our stay but the rooms need updating
Breakfast room and food was good,
The staff well friendly and helpful The bed rooms/ bathrooms need to be updated
The bathrooms were clean but "shabby" handle on the bath missing , grout had black marks on it, seal on the shower screen was falling off
