Staff, location, staff, breakfast, staff, bed.
As per many reviews, yes, it's a tired, worn out building and on those grounds it deserves its 3 star rating. But it takes more than a building to make for a great stay. There was a such a comfortable vibe here and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The only thing I would pick up on is cleanliness. Its a big property and only 3 star so things will be missed but the basic standards are not being met in the rooms and public spaces. Improve on this and you get a 10/10.

A wonderful hotel with a lot of history..
Lovely old building ..
I used to work there in 1999, so, I thought it would bring back memories.
Lovely big double room!

Brilliant breakfast
Plenty of space in the room, excellent breakfast.
The room was dusty and unfortunately there was an alarm going off all night that disturbed our sleep
