A good, warm room at the end of days wandering in the cold.
No trouble at all on arrival and departure. Able to chat about Eastbourne "in the old days".
Remarkably, in very cold weather, the heating was TOO WARM. Sub-zero temperatures outside, and I was obliged to open a window to moderate it.

We would return
Excellent location and the breakfast was very good.
The single room was very hot and unable to turn the radiator off, as it had no valve. Staff advised to use the green switch to turn it off. However, the single room did not have the green switch in it.

Overall, it is a good place for work
The hotel is old, but the facilities are modern, and the staff were super helpful and friendly. I was afraid it would be noisy due to the location, but it turned out quiet enough for work. I got a lot done
The central heating was constantly on, making the room too hot. Even with the window open and the fan on, it was uncomfortable.
