Recruitment South East, Eastbourne

RSE Group recently helped me to find my first employee, when we met in January, we agreed that it would be an interesting and challenging search as I don't operate in mainstream accountancy and the person that I was after was a highly skilled technical report writer who preferably had an IT background. I met both Mandy Brook and Leanne Atkins over coffee to discuss the role and we agreed to see how things went. As it was my first hire they were very good at working with me to develop the job advert and to highlight the most appropriate skills I was looking for. The search did prove to be more of a challenge than any of us thought, but they were successful in finding me a candidate who more than exceeded my requirements and who so far, touch wood, has hit the ground running and proven to be a very good find. RSE are a mine of information when it comes to the recruiting game and being a growing business themselves have probably already gone through the problems that you might experience when you are trying to recruit to grow your business. If you want to find the right person to fit into your business and you want to work with a group of pro-active people who go above and beyond in every aspect of what it is you are searching for and you want results, pick up the phone and talk to the RSE Group. I will be going back to visit them for my next employee, which might be sooner than I or they think.

I am currently working with RSE Group to fill my first vacancy in my business. I met with Leanne and Mandy earlier in January and their knowledge of the market place validated my decision to come to them. I am looking forward to a very successful relationship with them.

I have just started working with Mina on a retained basis to help me with my social media campaigns, the previous work I have done with Mina made this an absolute "no brainer". Her ability to understand what it is I want to do and her suggestions of how to do it and how she can help will allow me to transform my Social Media Profile across a number of platforms.

I have met James through our involvement in the Best of Eastbourne, I have been really impressed with some of the jewellery that I have seen.

It is review time again for Mina O’Brien at Ditzy Media. This review is to thank Mina for her efforts in writing some award applications for me. As you will see from my previous reviews, written content is not my forte as I tend to ramble! In order to boost my business profile I decided to enter a number of Business Awards as part of the Sussex Business Awards program. There were two Awards that I felt capable of entering with the prospect of nomination they were Best Small Business and Most Promising New Business. Mina drafted the nominations for both of these awards and an award for Entrepreneur of the Year, which was basically a BOGOF offer from the Sussex Business Awards. Mina came up with some interesting angles to show me in a good light and to help me potentially stand out from the crowd. It worked as I was called by two representatives of the company sponsoring the Most Promising New Business Award, we had a half hour telephone interview to determine whether I would make the shorter shortlist and for a few weeks it was very notable news that I could Tweet about. Unfortunately, I didn’t proceed to the nominations, but it was clear that Mina’s copy had certainly caught the judges’ attention. Again, Mina has come through with a very well structured solution for this Small Business Owner, her writing does work as she wrote her application for Most Promising New Business in the Eastbourne Business Awards and was shortlisted and highly commended a few weeks after my submissions. So if you need any form of Social Media support or Copywriting, Mina O’Brien of Ditzy Media comes highly recommended.

The abilities and talent of Mina O’Brien at Ditzy Media clearly know no bounds. Back in April/May of 2015 I spoke to Mina to find out whether she would a) be interested in and b) was capable of helping me to seriously overhaul the content of my website and my brochures. Fortunately she was both interested and when you see the end product she is definitely capable. We sat down with the Website Developer Drew Sayer at Neptune Media and with Phil Burrowes of Avant Photographic, another The Best of Eastbourne business that I have recently reviewed, to discuss what it was I wanted to achieve, how we could achieve it and whether it was possible to create an affordable website with all of the content I wanted/needed. Mina set about by developing a high level overview of the important aspects of the content to create a basic setting of the pages and the customer journey and calls to action. She then immersed herself in the content by reviewing my tired old 1&1 My Website, looking for items of interest that she might have been able to retain, but highlighted that it had clearly been written by an accountant! Guilty! She then conducted a huge amount of research by reviewing the HMRC website to pick out important facts, figures and statements that could form part of the narrative. She took all of this data and used the framework already set out to structure the content in an easily flowing format that should be capable of generating engagement with potential customers. She delivered it on time and on budget to Drew. She has even helped to proofread the copy now that it has been slightly adapted to fit the package that I have selected with Drew. As an additional part of the project, she has also helped me to put together a questionnaire for potential client case studies and will hopefully be working with me to write up those case studies so that they can be published as new content on the website. She and Phil have also been waxing lyrical about Cooden Tax Consulting as part of their #ContentRockStar talks that they have been doing over the summer. If you would like to see the end result visit www.coodentaxconsulting.co.uk to see the results to yourself, if you ever visited my old website, you would think I was a different company! I thoroughly enjoy working with Mina, her professional can do attitude is something I greatly appreciate as it mirrors my own.

I'm always late with everything that doesn't have a deadline! This is probably two months overdue, but nevermind, better late than never! I met Mina at a Networking event at the start of September and instantly thought this is someone who knows what she is talking about. When she mentioned on #EBhour shortly afterwards that she was running a #SocialMedia Training course I jumped at the opportunity to attend. I think I was probably one of the first people to book on her first course. It was extremely useful, I had floundered in Facebook, had twoubles on Twitter, and had little interest in Pinterest, so it was very useful to find out not only from Mina what worked and what didn't, but to be able to hear first hand the experiences of other new adopters. It was a great course and Mina has now mentioned an advanced Social Media course which I am certain to attend in the New Year. Mina thanks for everything and all the positive support you give to me and everyone else on #EBhour and #Sussexhour.
