Do you want Eastbourne and the world to have cleaner oceans? Get involved with SEA ~ Survival Equals Action and make a difference.

Surfers Against Sewage is the charity organisation which is guiding us to become "PLASTIC FREE EASTBOURNE". Our Borough Council voted UNANIMOUSLY to support this campaign last Wednesday.

This means that we can progress as a town to gain the award of “Plastic Free Eastbourne”. We need to meet 5 objectives set by Surfers Against Sewage. One of these objectives is to hold 2 beach cleans each year. Our first is publicised below.

Saturday March 24th at 10am to the west of the pier and Sunday 25th at 11am to the east of the pier, when the Big Spring Beach Clean will take its turn in Eastbourne.

We also need to identify a high profile business leader who can join our steering group. This will meet once or twice each year. I hope that this person will reveal her/himself through this website.

There are other objectives too. If you want first-hand understanding of what is involved, you can access our “toolkit” by using this link: Click Here

I hope that you will share the enthusiasm and interest in what should become a turning point in the life of Eastbourne town.
