Empowering Community Efforts to Support those who need it! We support local community groups, charities and projects whilst organising events for everyone!

The Polegate Scarecrows Community Fund was founded in November 2019 after the running of two successful Scarecrow Festivals!

What are our Visions?
I: empower community spirit and getting together
II: enable grants to be given and beneficiaries to be supported
III: facilitate the chance for individuals to engage and support others
What do we do?
Our biggest annual event and our biggest income is the Polegate Scarecrow Festival, this runs for two weeks in the summer months where people can create a Scarecrow and enter the competition.
We hold monthly ‘Cuppa and Cake’ afternoons giving locals a place to meet where they can support each other have a hot drink and eat a slice of cake whilst playing a game of bingo.
We also operate a Regular Lottery Draw where supporters can join as their way of giving and our way of giving back. The money raised from the lotteries is given back to local causes as a donation.
Who have we helped?
As a result of the Polegate Scarecrow Festival in 2020 we donated £673.02 to each St Wilfrid's Hospice and SERV SUSSEX. The money was raised through the annual two week events and a few charity sales.
How can you help us?
We have small charity collection boxes that businesses can host which gives supporters the chance to donate a small amount because every penny does really help!
You can use your empty ink cartridges as a donation by recycling them via our Recycle 4 Charity programme!
Or you can just attend our next event and show your support!
