The Eastbourne Astronomical Society was formed in 1960 and is now an educational charity with over 100 members.
Our aim is to bring amateur Astronomy to Eastbourne.
Our charity work includes talks to schools and Scouts on Astronomy and monthly lectures for our members
We arrange 'Stargazing ' events for the public which are free and which take place at the Heritage Centre at Beachy Head (formally the Countryside centre)
On our last public stargazing event we had 244 people in attendance who wanted to see the skies through our telescopes.
