Caroline Ansell is the Conservative candidate for Eastbourne & Willingdon.

I am passionate about the family; strong families lead to strong societies. And I greatly value the education system we have in this country above almost everything else. We are very fortunate to have such good quality schools here in Eastbourne and Willingdon – but there are areas where improvements could still be made.

I was a teacher for 15 years and trained for headship in 2008 – I am still an ISI Inspector. Education transforms lives. It’s was the driving force behind my standing for Parliament.

I am determined to devote whatever time and resources are necessary to see those improvements. If we invest fully and properly in our children, then the future will be bright!

I’m also working for Wi-Fi provision on our trains, supporting the case for a second runway at Gatwick and campaigning for a once in a generation investment in the A27 to unlock our potential.

Why trains, planes and automobiles?

Creating new jobs is THE best way to tackle poverty, give people a chance to get on and provide for their family. And, I’m passionate about Health and Education – transport promotes business, business pays for hospitals and schools.

As a Christian, I put huge emphasis on religious freedom, tolerance and supporting those who are struggling. I am determined to support those in their time of need, as well as investing in those who are aiming to make the most of their lives.

I also have very personal reasons to support the NHS so strongly.

When our son was diagnosed with a brain tumour, we didn’t have to ask how much to save his life. I will fight to ensure the people of Eastbourne and Willingdon get the best possible health care.
