There is a busy road alongside - but you don't notice it until you lie down to go to sleep.

We wanted to visit a nearby farm (Hook Farm) where we buy their raw milk. They suggested Pitchup as they had no camping themselves. I have a nearly 7 year old grandson. He, my son and my partner brought 2 small tents and one car. Chris enjoyed his stay. We booked just one night in case we didn't like it, decided another would be fine - Chris would have liked more! He also wants to return again. We all enjoyed the crazy golf, loved the aquatic and garden centre up the road. Utilised 2 nearby pubs, Lidl, Tesco Express and had a wonderful swim in the wave pool at Eastbourne. Crazy golf on Eastbourne pier was closing by the time we ventured in. Look forward to trying that. The one outside was packed, people queuing to putt. I think a shelf in the toilet for spare loo roll - rather than leaving it on the floor - or just a free standing unit on the floor for it. A mirror and a picture on the wall might make it more holiday-ish.

Stayed overnight to catch a show at Eastbourne Theatre. Great location with just a small commute into Eastbourne. Great service and very welcoming. Lots to keep the little ones occupied with a play area, nature trial, and on-site farm shop. Pub within walking distance of the campsite, which serves food and beverages. The campsite was a good size with plenty of room between tents although it was quite when we stayed, there were no electric hook up where we were located and toilets were a short walk. I would definitely stay here again if we are local.

If you go for a farm experience, you’ll be disappointed! There is a lack of animals. They gave us an activity sheet to complete but the letters you had to find were not where they said they were. My children did enjoy the play areas though. I was disappointed to see that the farm shop was gone too! So overall I think it was overpriced for what it is… paid £36 to go to a glorified park.

We love it at Sharnfold Farm. Today nature was showing off its beauty to us. My toddler’s favourite place today was the sunflower maze..

The staff are friendly, facilities are incredible and there are so many things to do that it will keep you entertained the entire day.

Absolutely fantastic place with lots of activities to keep the kids amused BUT, the service in the cafe was at best poor, we ordered 4 drinks on arrival and only 3 arrived. At lunch ordered 4 meals, again only 3 arrived, separately, I'd eaten mine by the time the other 2 arrived and eventually went back to find out when the 4th one was coming (it wasn't they'd missed it completely when preparing the order. Then at 4:20 we went for another drink before leaving, (closes at 5), the cafe closed at 4, (fair enough) but my granddaughter (who had sat and watched the rest of us eat our lunch before eventually getting hers) had been feeding the animals and needed to wash her hands was told she couldn't use the toilets because they had already been cleaned and to use the facilities in the park, which had run out of soap and paper towels. There was no offer to go and replenish them, so we sent her in regardless. To cap the day off, she wanted to have another go on the swing before we left and we were told she couldn't go back into the park (at 4:30).
I would have given it 5 stars but for a few of the cafe staff who really need some customer relations training. I should add a couple of younger staff were lovely !

This place is absolutely fantastic for a reasonably priced day out! We love coming here as we live down the road. Lots of themed events for children and good parking. We feel like it's missing a few things that would make it incredible though as it's better designed for slightly older children. There is good indoor seating, but shaded seating outdoors is needed, also lots of trip hazards in the woods so watch your feet. It would be awesome if a tractor ride or something round parts of the farm could be added because I reckon that would draw in lots more visitors! Regardless, we love coming, thank you!

We took my 8 month old grandaughter to Sharnfold today, mainly for the fresh air and the animals. We all had a lovely time ,despite the weather. Not too muddy, maybe there could be a few sheltered areas. For shade in the sun and to shelter from the rain, given our climate( just a suggestion)
My grandaughter loved the animals and the other areas were lovely. She loved the sound station and the timber town best. We will be back to visit again as a good entrance price for an enjoyable day out. As she grows she will enjoy many of the other areas I am sure. Lovely friendly staff and a good lunch menu of sandwiches and toasties, good choice of drinks and plenty of space inside and out to enjoy your purchased or picnic lunch. Thank you Sharnfold. We enjoyed our day out 🙂

What a absolutely brilliant place now it's all been done up 👏🏼 so much to do for toddlers. Especially on the walk. Which is a great length for little legs and well signposted. Play area really nicely done. Would benefit some shade as we went on a very sunny day and had no shade to sit under. Staff really welcoming and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed the animals and great little information boards on the way.
We took a picnic and sat in the woods to eat as only shaded place.
Think the entry price is spot on. Really affordable and you could spend all day there letting the kids play.
Just don't use the two loos at the bottom of the play park, do use the ones inside!

I am soooo disappointed with how this place has turned out. Closed for a few months in spring for a refurb... Great! Can't wait to see what they do! They remove the farm shop and butchers and fill the space with dunelm looking cafe and nic-nak shop. The food all looked very basic, nothing making me want to buy. No more fresh fruit, fresh meat but if you want jam.. they have a few behind all the soft toys and toot they have in the 'shop'. The farm trail is in desperate need of some TLC. There's very little interaction for kids and the animals tend to be quite far away (not blaming anyone for that, I hate people too!!)
Then... the 'event' as they called it. Meeting Bluey & Bingo... it should be called a 'late photo opportunity' and that's it. There was NOTHING bluey related around apart from the shop at stupid prices. Not even Bluey music. They come out 15 mins late (blaming the traffic that had long cleared) and both walk around opposite sides of a circle. Being in the middle at the back, we had to choose one or the other to have a photo (or try to as there were so many people wanting the same thing) with. I don't know what I expected but that definitely wasn't it. It was hyped up then let down on the day by poor planning. The weather has shown rain for today for the last week so again, this is a poor excuse. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning any time soon which is a shame given how lovely it used to be.

Wow a fantastic place to bring children. Loads of things for them to do. Now has large cafe and small farm shop. Complete makeover since we were last here.

Lovely little place, the children two aged 7 and one 4 year old loved all the activities around the walk. Shop was a little disappointing but there’s a promise of more to come in May. The guy at the till was warm and welcoming with great customer service. Nice half price entry when we attended also.

We came to the farm yesterday for the first time and we had the best time!
It was the first time my son had been to a farm and he had so much fun! There is so much to do, he loved the sand pit and the golf, we loved the animals and the farm trail, it was a little muddy but that made it more fun for my son who loves jumping in muddy puddles!!
The only thing I would advise is to take your own picnic as the cafe only had pastrys available except for a lunch box for children which was well priced and included a sandwich, crisps, chocolate bar and a drink which he very much enjoyed.
We are really looking forward to coming back here again 😀

Children loved it but farm trails very wet and muddy which isn't surprising given the amount of rain recently. Recommend walking boots or wellies.

Always have a great time when I bring my kids here. The staff are always friendly and happy to help with anything. This has to be my favourite farm as there's so much to do and see. We always leave happy. Thank you

Greta to see this place back open and with such improvements. We visited over the Easter opening weekend and was pleasantly surprised with the current changes and we look forward to what the future holds for Sharnfold Farm. I can’t comment on the Cafe, but the trail walk and animals were enjoyed by all. My only criticism would be, to have a dedicated tills for the farm shop and cafe, as you have to queue again, which was busy as there’s only the 1 queue for all of it: The entry, the cafe and the farm shop.

Had a great afternoon at the farm and the witches hat trail.
Came to the cafe at 2:40 and joined a queue.
I asked for a baguette, 2 lunch boxes only to be told they do not take any orders for food after 2:30.
Instead we had a cheese scone and 2 slices of cake, 2 packets of crisps, two fizzy drinks and a coffee.
Other people came in while were sitting eating, we heard them ordering lunch boxes and sausage and chips only to have their order taken. We were not the only family told NO orders. I had mymy two grandchildren then ask why they couldn't have a lunch box.
As a business, you need to be consistent, a sign needs to be added to the menu stating food stops at 2:30, or pay your staff to work extra during busy times; school holidays.
Such a sad end to what had been a great afternoon treat.
One of your staff could see I was a little annoyed and came to ask if I was waiting for an order, I explained what had happened and she was apologetic, but she was following instructions from the person in charge.

If you need to take your kids and you have literally 2 hours this is the farm for you. Small and kids can do all of it without crashing. Animals, Wendy houses, trails and suprises as you walk
Play ground could have a little more things as when it's busy it's very crowded but nevertheless less it's our favourite
