I went with my friend after a recommendation. We were welcomed by lovely staff who were chatty and friendly. We didn't have to wait long for them to take our order. The fish and chips we had were absolutely lovely and all freshly cooked. If you want lovely fish and chips with a lovely atmosphere this is the place to go.

If you're visiting Eastbourne, then go to the chippy where us locals go.<br><br>It might not look as swanky as the others, but don't be put off. Remember proper fish and chips should always be eaten wrapped in paper, if you'd prefer a box then you're a savage and should probably head elsewhere.<br><br>Just watch out for the militant seagulls if you're going to munch it down outside.

Waited nearly half an hour for food to be served, I had gluten free option so considered may be slightly longer. But not to the point 4-5 people were served before us. No waiting time given by staff and no apologies for the wait. However staff were friendly and the gluten free fish was exceptional

I highly recommend the fish and chips here if you're visiting Eastbourne. Good old fashioned chips here taste great with liberal amounts of malt vinegar and salt and the fish is perfectly battered. Interior is slightly aged but the service is good and beer is available. Prices are pretty standard for this area but worth it given the quality. Give it a try!
