First time we had been in Eastbourne for quite some years. We could smell the fish and chips outside which is what drew us in. The tables were set a nice distance apart, the customer service was excellent. And everywhere was nice and clean including the toilets.<br>The portions were big, and the food tastes great. The chips were those really nice chip shop chips that are thick, fresh and slightly crisp on the smaller ones, very yummy. Both my partner and I had Cod. Which was really good and tasty. The only thing I would add, although wouldn't put me off, the fish could have done with more seasoning whilst being cooked. Aside from that it was perfect and we would definitely recommend the restaurant.

Been here on 2 occasions and food was very good. Shame that the staff make you feel unwelcome. Tried to get a smile and some human interaction but gave up. Some basic customer service training would go a long way and prevent negative reviews.

I didn't know what to expect but it exceeded my expectations! The butter was crisp and lovely. I had Cod and Chips. My partner had Plaice and he said Cod was better on that day. The lady who served us was super nice. She looked after our 1 year old daughter. We couldn't thank her enough for her kindess!! Highlu recommended.

First visit takeaway: Had a burger which was smothered in cheap, sour-tasting ketchup I never asked for. Even though I wasn't expecting a gourmet burger the meat tasted like cheap cash & carry product.<br><br>Second visit eat in in restaurant: cod & chips good. I like my fish firm dry and a tad perhaps overcooked like it was here, but perhaps others would prefer it less. Batter was good in texture but slightly bland. Skin of fish left on, which I don't like personally. Staff pleasant, however, the tall server who's situated in takeaway section a bit stern in manner. I think 3 stars fair.
