We have always enjoyed Tates' Mayberry Nursery/Shop/Cafe, but this is even better. Very friendly staff and quick service in the Coffee Shop with generous portions, plenty of choice and reasonably priced. Both adults and six-year old appreciated the Planet Earth Museum, and I loved the Botanical Planthouses and the full discovery trail. We waved to the train driver and passengers on the miniature railway, took photos in the play area and had fun (and warmth) in the indoor Playzone.<br><br>Everything was clean and well kept (including the toilet facilities), and we could easily have spent more time in the well-stocked shop which was particularly good for petcare products. On this occasion we wanted our grandchild to have fun but we look forward to returning and looking around the museum and plant nursery and concentrating on more adult pursuits.

Large garden centre with a wide range of items. Whilst the plants are a bit boring, just the same mass produced ones you get everywhere. But there’s an excellent selection of garden tools etc. The shed and greenhouse display is the best I’ve come access. Rabbits also sold along with a good range of hutches and runs.<br>There’s a good restaurant and a lovely miniature railway.
