I came here today with low expectations purely due to the low price from the website of £1.99 per adult and my under two year old being free. We decided to travel the two hours from Essex to see if it would be worth a visit in the summer months. Well I thought it was brilliant, we chose the wrong day really as most of the attractions open tomorrow for the season but it didn't matter. The Farm was food my boy was impressed, the outdoor play barn went down a treat and also the mini diggers. The indoor soft play area was better than the usual ones we visit and was kept clean. For the price you cannot go wrong. Staff were lovely, and it's nice to see so many young people working there and taking an interest in outdoors work. We can't wait to go back when the weather gets better to experience the whole place. Great value for money, and outdoorsy fun!

First time visit with my 10 year old daughter, as we were looking for an active fun filled day out - we were attracted by the reasonable entry price, and reasonable additional price online for go-karts (petrol, all weather track) and laser quest.

It was a great day for us, I went with moderate expectations and was pleased with the day, although of course disappointing for the things that aren't open this time of year - esp an outdoor adventure playground (but they were fixing it up a bit/refreshing the timber). Still it's a foundational thing, and would have been good to have if they could manage the maintenance eg item by item.

I was happy to pay today, but would have been more reserved with more kids, and think the items are slightly overpriced on top of the park entrance fee : but can understand that the economics of the park might be catch 22 - not q good enough to get lots of custom, which means they have to keep prices high and some of the areas a bit tired.
We spent 3x 2x £3.95 for go karting, 2x 2x £2.50 for laser quest (maybe £3), 1x £3 for bungee trampoline and then got for free/included : Crazy golf, runaway mine train, inflatable large pillow thingy, and the play barn. Oh and the petting zoo including lovely wallabies and owls, meercats etc
The runaway mine train simulator was bit of an 80's relic : although the visuals were quite good/better, the sound was pretty bad. but overall ok to try : glad it was free else I would have been annoyed if I have had to pay extra for that.

Cafe was a bit mental, and a bit disaapointing that the other food venues weren't open eg burgers/chips. Or at least the kiosk place to mean you could get basics without the main food queues. Seeing the reviews online here now, I'm glad I didn't rely on buying lunch - Jamie Oliver would go mental at the relatively poor provision of food (no excuse management!!! even budget.... !!!)

Overall, I think for young kids it's a great place, and for older kids who would enjoy (and you can afford) the main activities like go-karts : I think it's great. We loved our day.

Oh, one other annoyance was a massive time gap between the morning and the afternoon laser quest sessions : we had to really kill time between 11/1130 and 1500 - which a cynic might think is a management decision to milk more money out of you in between! Would be nice if this could be slightly reduced.

Top thanks to the go karting steward and the main reception girl. Both top and very nice.

New to skiing. Only seen snow in my garden :) but my girlfriend insisted I learn to ski. So along we went.
I wasn't sure what to expect, I mean it's a big carpet on a hill and in the UK!!!
Paid £70 for 4 x 1hr group lessons spread over a month.
Very nervous as it's such an alien thing to do. And the hill (150m) looked huge :)
The instructors, (Alex and Quill) are AMAZING . Really patient, engaging, kind, and just teach well and with gentle authority.
I rarely (like everyone i guess) give face to face feedback, but I was compelled to inform the owner how good his staff were. Just an amazing experience, and a great price.
After 2 lessons I can now use the button lift (essential :), snow plough, fall over, snow plough turn, and generally get down the slope in a sort of controlled manner.
Staff in the fitting area, where you put on skis and boots etc, are firm but fair. They need to be with skis being swung about by amatuers.
Staff in shop are friendly and well presented.
Boss man (Stephen I think!?) is in control.
Quill was just the kindest and most reassuring person ever.
Loved it.
Have a go . Have fun. Fall over. Smile. Repeat.

I took my class here on a school trip and it was a fantastic day! David and Brett were brilliant and they could not have done enough for us. Brilliant with the children and myself and my helpers. They made the whole experience very exciting for us and it was smoothly run. They gave us our own room for the day to keep our things and also eat our lunch in. They answered the children's questions really well and kept them under control behaviour wise. They really did make our trip. The quadpillar rides were great fun and I even had a go myself. The meet and greet of animals was very good and a great experience for the children, this was also the case for the animal show in the barn. A great day out for us all.

The weather wasnt particularly great today however despite this there is still plenty to do, even if you just plant yourself in the indoor soft play and let the kids run round for a few hours. The outside areas were still open, however are more geared up for better weather. If going on a wet day i would suggest taking wellies and some spare clothing as its very muddy in places. The entrance fees are reasonable and even better if you have a 'kids pass'. With one of these a family of 4 cost £16 and you have unlimited time in there.

Having been to Knockhatch a couple of times in the past, I was looking forward to bringing my sons for a trip today. There have been some new additions since our last visit and some changes. I would recommend the Quadapillar ride, superb fun! They have extended the restaurant seating area inside Froggies, which was packed to the rafters. Here's why Knockhatch doesn't get 5 stars from me: nowhere near enough refreshment capacity and dodgy food hygiene (saw staff pick something off the floor, put into bin then continue to prep food without washing her hands). Queues for food and drink were horrendous, this on a 'green' day (not peak times). I will definitely bring the children back here as it represents great value for money and lots of fun. However, I will not make the mistake of relying on their catering services!

We visited knock hatch with my sisters and 7 children between us. When we first got there it took us 15 minutes to find somewhere to park and had to walk through busy car parks with small children. Luckily we booked online so just walked straight in as there was a huge queue to pay. We decided to get food straight away so went into froggies. The place was packed with tables so close together that if someone wanted to get to the next table you had to keep standing up and moving the chairs. The staff said it would be an hours wait for food m, which we didn't mind as it was busy. 2 hours later and lots of screaming from the children and mums nearly having a nervous breakdown. My sister went up to complain it takes that long for 2 pizzas, the staff informed us they were ready the children then complained as it was cold. If they had informed us it would be 2 hours I wouldn't have ordered. The animals are great and the rides are good for children of all ages. But definitely recommend taking your own food. Great value park will definitely come back (with a picnic 😉)

Really good day out with the family, plenty for the kids to do. However just a few things to point out, I think the underage ball pit play area needs monitoring as there was kids (that looked older then the age you needed to be) jumping into the ball pit from on top of the play house, notified a member of staff and they got on it right away, however when they left the kids ran back and just carried on doing it again, I know kids will be kids but when you have younger kids in the ball pit it is unacceptable. And finally I wassnt offered a lid with my coffee or told where they were, so on return to my table a kid ran into me and sent my coffee flying all over me, my hand was badly burnt and blistered up right away, lucky it was on me and not the kid. The first aider there was extreamly quick to attend to me, very professional, he even went out of his way to come find me every now and then to give me more cream and ice packs. Hats off to that man, clearly cares about his job. Other than those two minor set backs it was a very enjoyable day.

I thought I had already done this review but didn't. So here goes.
I went in the summer taking my 9 months old Granddaughter. You can get discounts codes etc on line but if you use them at the gate the discount is on the full entrance cost. It saved me 10p wow!!! Simply wasn't worth the hassle of finding it and using my ink to print it out.
Although no charge for the baby it was almost £7.00 for me to get in.
We enjoyed the small animals but the rabbits straw was soaking wet!!!

We walked all around the animal enclosures and they definitely have a rat problem. I guess it's not surprising being where it is but never saw rats in another animal place a few miles away.

To be fair there wasn't a lot for a baby to do. Although we did enjoy the swings.

The indoor play area is nice. But I just wished some guardians would look after their children. If the play area is for babies then it's not ok to let your five year old run and jump into the balls next to babies and little toddlers.

Overall it was a good visit but was expensive for a baby, who was too young to use most things.

Perhaps a different pricing scheme should be done when it's an under 1 and Guardian.

Food was ok.

We loved this place. There is so much for the children to do and see.

First you can walk around the animal enclosures then either go to the indoor play area or the outdoor activities. There are a few rides you can pay extra for which are well worth it.

I loved the rowing boats they were great fun. A real challenge bring the one adult in the boat with two toddlers who don't want to stay in the boat. It was very safe though.

The food was very good for a place such as this and the staff were very friendly.

The adventure park represents excellent value for money and will make a great day out.

I have never been to Knockhatch Adventure Park before and as the weather had been so appalling we decided to take the grandchildren to get some fresh air and see the animals. As it is out of season the cost was extremely reasonable and we took advantage of getting some animal food for my grandson to feed the animals. He loved the visit and being 'hands on'! Even though it was very cold there was plenty to do looking at the reindeer, small animals and I saw a kookaburra for the first time! We visited the indoor play area which was divided into two areas, one for older children and one for little ones which suited us very well. The food was ok but you don't visit for the food! All in all a nice experience especially for the children - which is what it's all about!

After 15 yrs of my ski kit packed away in the loft I thought it must be time to start again. My first thought, dry ski slope, my second thought, local location, it has to be Knockhatch. Last night, after a one hour personal training session I am pleased to get back on the slopes. Perfect skiing weather last night, dry but cold and frosty, the slopes were fast but our Instructor took full control of my rusty technique and soon had me turning, stopping and understanding the basics. A well worthwhile visit and one to be recommended before the real thing. Obergugl on Saturday.

I attend here often with my young family and our friends. We always have an amazing time. There are so many activities and the space of the park is fantastic. We love the boat rides and the paddling pool in the summer. My 2 year old loves the tractor ride and the quadpillar ride. The indoor soft play is massive. I've never been in there myself but the kids love it. Also, there is a small ice cream shed tucked away close to the paddling pool which serves absolutely gorgeous soft scoop ice cream and is very cheap. All in all, a fantastic day out for the family. We even ended up buying a annual pass for our son! Love it

Really like knockhatch but as someone has mentioned before I have issues with the 0-3 area. When we visited today which in fairness was incredibly busy the 0-3 area was completely unusable for my 11 month old. I appreciate you cant supervise and I will always supervise my children within the area but when you have 7 or 8 year old in there bashing the life out of one another its very disheartening. Such a shame for the little ones

Had a really great family day out at Knockhatch Adventure Park in Hailsham.. We spent the entire morning in the animal part of the attraction and were really surprised and impressed at the quantity and variation of animals from bunnies to wallabies, the owls were fabulous. The farm and zoo area is a day out on its own and far better than any of the local farm based attractions. After an ok lunch and role around in the indoor play area Froggies we set off into the adventure part of the attraction where we had a really great afternoon and found something for every member of the family. It was all really very good, we found the park clean and well cared for and the staff all very pleasant and helpful. a highly recommended family day out.
