It is ok but avoid the chip shop. It is not only over priced, the chips (small portions) were too salty. They take your money and then make you outside for more than 30 minutes!

This pier is being well maintained and is free to enter. We enjoyed the walk. The pier buildings offer shelter from the wind.

Firstly I was pleasantly surprised that there was no entrance fee to the pier , I know lots of piers charge. There appears to be a lot of new retail units being installed . I’m sure they would make ideal restaurant’s or shops . Plenty of seating . There’s arcades , shop s & food outlets . The glass shop was really good & they also do demonstrations of glass blowing

There’s fishing at the end of the pier & a tackle shop to boot .

All credit they are trying to improve the pier & goodluck to them

what a lovely English seaside pier. Walked it and sat enjoying the sunshine, watching those fishing, listening to a live female singer with a great voice and admiring our Eastbourne hotel that overlooked the pier. So nice to see it in relatively good order and new units being prepared for opening. No sense of the dilapidation we've seen on other English piers - well done Eastbourne

Eastbourne Pier was very sad. Such a shame as Piers are such iconic seaside attractions. So many empty shops, no counters to suggest that they would be busy any time yet. No Bingo, no Fortune Tellers, except a machine and no Candy Floss. Also, the concrete floor is very dangerous and uneven, as I had the misfortune to trip up on it, a week and a half later, I am still very much in pain with internal bruising. The staff at the Victorian Tearoom, however, were brilliant and gave me great care. Covid has no doubt been the cause of all this neglect, so I hope it won't be too long now before the Pier can return in all it's great glory.

Not the venue of my childhood, despite some attempts at modernisation. Pleasant all the same.

Eastbourne pier was quite nice. Lovely old fashioned restaurant on there. Looks like its been done up at the moment so some new empty buildings on it at the present time.

A once famous pier, sadly in need of more businesses. Pier is well maintained and provides a good place to fish and sight see.

We walked on here often during our holiday recently, A lovely pier worth the walk all around even if windy. Great views and lots of places to sit and rest. Lovely tea shop on pier.

Our first visit after many years and loved Eastbourne. We went on the Wheel and it was great fun and very reasonable.
