Very quiet and small. Few amusements. Nice cuppa in victoria tea room. Couple of tourist/sweet shops and gifts. Cloudy & windy day but imagine lovely in the summer.

Lions everywhere and everything painted gold, looks a bit naff and cheesey to be honest.

Eastbourne is a town, seaside resort and borough in the non-metropolitan county of East Sussex on the south coast of England, 19 miles (31 km) east of Brighton. I and my wife spent a couple of days in this beautiful town right near the famous pier in April 2019. It’s a beautiful place to spend your summer holidays in England.

Free entry and great views from down the end especially. Sadly it is suffering at present from the complete road closure along the seafront passing right outside its entrance and for quite a distance beyond in both directions. The burnt out shell of the hotel opposite creates a bit of an impression of a war zone ever since the disasterous fire last November. The whole area is now a no go for traffic. Please note that NO buses either can get anywhere near the pier any more. You have to go into the town to find any if you want to get to Brighton or Hastings in the foreseeable and indeed distant future. Hope all the sightseers will patronise the pier though.

Posto grande, ma rispetto ad altri moli un po' scadente, mi è tuttora sconosciuto l'utilità dell'edificio che sostiene

The Pier is iconic...been on it since 1948 - 7 years old! Great to walk along now and some wonderful views esp during Airbourne. I love this pier!

On a very cold new years day we dropped into the old tea rooms on the pier what a cracking place to sit and watch the world go by, and that's what we did for 20 minutes whil9we waited for someone to come to our table to take our order. After 20 minutes we gave up and walked out, and continued our stroll along the pier. The next building was a cafe/bar, it was open so we entered looking around I counted 9 customers. The wife sat at a table and I walked to the counter and ordered 2 teas and was told sorry all our hot drinks mugs are out with customers. Looking around the 9 customers 7 had mugs 2 were drinking coke.
We had to wait until 2 customers returned their mugs before our order could be supplied. How the owner expects to make any money with just 7 mugs is beyond me.
The pier itself was in very good condition and makes a pleasant walk very enjoyable

Great pier, fish&chip shop on entrance with seating , doughnut stand opposite which sells candy floss, drinks(hot&cold),and really nice slushies (doughnuts 5 for £3,or 70p each), has a Victorian tea room , further down and an old style sweatshop selling all seaside needs (rock, fudge) opposite a gift shop, if an eastbourne magnet for the fridge is what you desire your in luck, at the end of the pier theres not much stairs that lead up to just a board room overall the piers classic and perfect for all those seaside needs

Always a pleasure to walk along the pier. The aroma of salty chips and sugary doughnuts draw you in.A visit to the glass studio is a must. Adorable tea room in the centre, a struggle to get a table, so popular. Jazz club bar was empty, high prices kept us out too. Frustrated to see no progress with the construction works. Hoping all will be complete for the summer. So pleased our pier was saved and restored, huge thanks to all who enabled this phoenix to rise from the ashes.
