The view was lovely parts of the pier was a little run down however the sea view made it worth it , the glasswork shop was lovely you could watch them making the beautiful glass decorations while your looking and the prices were reasonable too

Unfortunately the pier was closed due to weather. We had tried to call ahead of time but the contact number was incorrect. There was a small room at the entrance with a handful of machines. Half of which were broken.

Eastbourne pier before the fire had shops, arcade and a nightclub at the end.
I personally liked the pier and spent many a time when I was younger
There was many things to entertain the family or just hanging out. The view is good, seeing all the sea front but the pier is still the main focus.

The Pier has had its ups and downs and the devastating fire a few years ago destroyed some of the character in terms of features and facilities. At the moment it's looking quite good : the new owner has painted and refurbished the business end and you can enjoy a pleasant walk to the end and back.
There's a pretty decent cafe, decorated in the Victorian/Edwardian style and the amusement section - essential for a decent pier - has a good variety of machines to relieve you of any loose change. The shops are OK and sell mainly souvenirs and sweets. Worth a look and given a good sunny day, not a bad place to spend an hour.

This is a windy February day, we enjoyed a stroll along here but it’s run down, lots of seagull droppings everywhere, it’s a shame really because lots of families about, I understand the upkeep must be costly but if you are goi g to have this landmark and it’s a centre point for folks it needs some attention. The bar was good and tidy inside.

I took a wistful and nostalgiac walk on the pier on a recent trip to Eastbourne. Sadly because of the recent fire (presumably) it is a shadow of its former self. It is always worth a visit though.

Worth a wander to see the glass shop for sure but otherwise, out of high session, there’s very little to see or do unless you fancy a dingy amusement arcade.

Not much to see, apart from the sea. A few well stocked gift shops (very well stocked - the amount of stuff on display was amazing), very reasonable prices and lovely shop keepers. We didnt try The Chippy, although it has a great reputation. There is an arcade with lots of entertainment, so make sure you bring a lot of money if you're visiting with children, but when it comes to adults, there is not much to do. Lovely walk on the pier, as it wasnt busy (probably because of the February weather). There is a nice looking coffee shop (traditional tea room) if you are interested. Altogether I think visiting once is enough. Unless there is more entertainment during summer season, which is entirely possible-therefore I'd say if you are visiting out of season, once is enough.

Not worth going to in the cold and rain. A couple of penny arcades an tea room and some souvenir shops. A bit of building work is going on so we shall try again another day.
