Claire is so patient and always positive and cheery. She is a paragon of virtue, as she smiles throughout my elderly lady playing and always writes down lots of tips to help me. She is .my 3rd teacher and knocks spots off the others. Additionally, she has now coached me to a DISTINCTION at grade 4.<br>She has also stuck with me through thick and thin, and 2 fairly serious broken limbs, still allowing me to have lessons. Honestly, she is undoubtedly the best music teacher out there, so go on, get started with some lessons!

Claire has taught our son Max for 3 years now, he has just passed his grade 2 in piano, Claire has helped Max’s confidence grow and to watch Max play in front of audience’s is something else!<br>We would highly recommend Claire!

I cannot recommend Claire enough. I came to music and the flute as a complete novice. Step by step I have improved, and passed my Grade 1 all because of her excellent tuition.<br>HIGHLY recommended.

My two boys have been having piano lessons with Claire for a few months now and it’s been brilliant! My 5 year old has been captivated by learning beats by marching and the addition of music games! And my 7 year old had been able to play songs fitting his interests which has boosted his interest in piano! Really great!

I highly recommend Claire , I originally started having Saxapphone lessons with her 11 years ago & within 6 months I passed my grade 2 . Regretfully I haven’t played for about 7 years & only recently returned to my lessons with Claire , she has been so patient as it’s been a struggle being a returner but 1 always enjoy my lessons & progressing fairly quickly . Claire is always very friendly professional & encouraging . Looking forward to doing my grade 3 hopefully next month 😁🎷

I feel so privileged to of met Claire Barrass. Claire has show patience and professionalism at all times. Claire’s music knowledge is outstanding and inspires confidence. I've been learning the flute with Claire as my tutor, and she has been helping me up through the grades - grades 4 and 5 successfully accomplished, grade 6 not yet taken and taking a bit longer due to COVID and being away from Eastbourne for a year. Prior to learning the flute I played the bassoon for over 40 years. I have been very impressed with the way she has helped me progress - she doesn't shy away from the hard work aspects, but injects a bit if fun and humour in too. She also has set up opportunities to play carols in nursing homes, jam/chamber music sessions etc (prior to COVID). Thoroughly pleased with her teaching and my resulting progress.

Claire clearly knows how to instill music accordingly to everyone's liking and capacity - as demonstrated by our son's pre-grade higher exam Distinction mark with just about 5 weeks of lessons. Our son enjoys his lessons. Claire is a wonderful music teacher.

My daughter has been learning with Claire for just coming up to a year now and I couldn’t be happier with my choice in teacher for her. As my daughter is 6, Claire is very good at adapting the lesson to suit her needs for her age. Claire absolutely knows her stuff and is incredibly knowledgable in all things piano and music, which can be seen in how much progress my daughter has made in just under a year.

I have started having adult piano lessons on my keyboard with Claire using Zoom. So far, I have completed 5 weekly lessons and am already hooked. Claire makes every lesson fun and she is patient. At the same time she is able to keep challenging me and giving me homework to keep me practising. Claire is also good with children and my 14 year old grandson is making good progress and loves his lessons. I can highly recommend Claire Barrass to anyone at any level.
