Went as a group of three families during a camping holiday and had a lovely time. The children's ages ranged from 3 to 11 and they all enjoyed it. A small extra charge gives you all unlimited rides on the train and we took advantage of this as, although not very long, it goes through lovely scenery with a big lake, through a tunnel, under a bridge, over a bridge and past lots of play areas. These play areas can be reached during a lovely walk round the grounds, which include a maze. There is also a large play area near the station and also a cafe where we had lunch, which was good. There are also model railways which can be operated by 20p. Everyone there seemed to be having a good time, as we did. Thank you.

Great day out for all the family! Kids loved every minute of it and adults enjoyed to! Very accessible for wheelchairs and prams. Lovely staff. Great atmosphere lovely scenery, would definitely visit again and will be getting annual passes for all of us next time we go!

Great day out for the children and nice place to take a picnic to keep the costs down. Or you can eat in the cafe. The price is good for a UK attraction. Only 2.50 on top of price for unlimited rides. Keep your eyes open for the family of foxes when on the train

three year old grandson, who is train mad! This is a family run business and it has that family feel. Lovely picnic areas, a walk round the lake, large playgrounds with good variety of play equipment, snack bars and of course the miniature train, which runs constantly round the lake. We got unlimited passes sounded up going round three times. We saw foxes up close too. Reasonably priced compared to other attractions and a grand day out.

Young children will love it here. There is a large playpark. A lovely walk around a huge lake. and of course the steam train which everyone loves(adults as well) You can bring your own food here but there is a small cafe for light bites coffee etc. If you live near enough it is worth getting a family season ticket

Took my 2 year old great granddaughter, lots of play equipment, beautiful walks round the lake, beautifully maintained picnic areas, and a cafe serving a variety of foods. Best of all we paid for unlimited rides on the miniature railway which we took full advantage of, on our final ride we had the added bonus of seeing 2 fox cubs close to the track. A must do activity for little train enthusiasts. This is run by a local family who take great pride in making the experience memorable and special.

Spent 4 hours there today and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! I went with my 3 boys aged 7, 3 & 2 and my mother and father in law and husband. We all enjoyed the steam trains and would recommend buying the unlimited pass, well worth the money. The parks and walk are also well kept. The staff were all super friendly and the cafe was well priced and the food was delicious. Nothing negative to say, will most definitely be going back!

I visited here with my parents who both have mobility problems and myself in an electric wheelchair and my two autistic daughters. I had no problems. We had a lovely day here. Play facilities are great for the kids. What a lovely find. I will definitely recommend and visit again. Staff were very polite and helpful. Thanks

I was expecting more of a train model museum, so was disappointed as I had the wrong expectations. This place is geared toward keeping children entertained with playground swings and climbing frames - in which case a trip to the local park is comparable and free.
