Eastbourne Museum opowiada historię prawie 200 lat łodzi ratunkowych w mieście. Muzeum jest częścią starego domu łodzi ratunkowej w Eastbourne, zbudowanego w 1898 roku ku pamięci Williama Terrissa, aktora zamordowanego rok wcześniej na schodach londyńskiego teatru Adelphi.<br><br>Eksponaty obejmują śmiałe, wielokrotnie nagradzane akcje ratunkowe, udział łodzi ratunkowej w ewakuacji wojsk alianckich z Dunkierki podczas drugiej wojny światowej oraz rozwój technologii poszukiwawczo-ratowniczych w całej dumnej historii Eastbourne.

Always come here when I come to Eastbourne which is 2- 3 times a year. I am always keen to support the charity which is essential. I love the Diaries, the cards and the key rings and bag charms. The staff are always attentive and keen to sell their wares and raise money.

We always find nice things to buy here and and the volunteer staff are so lovely and friendly. The small museum part of the place is also very interesting.
