I had to go to Eastbourne Recycling Centre to dispose of some asbestos, as my local Recycling Centre can't take it. It was busy, but well organised and I didn't spend an overly long time queuing. When I got to the front of the queue, one of the staff asked me what I had so that he could direct me to the best place. I told him that I had asbestos and was directed appropriately. He contacted another staff member to open the secure store, they met me where I had been directed, opened the store and took the small payment that is levied for disposal of certain items. He then pointed me to the right place to dispose of my other materials. All the staff were friendly, polite and helpful, despite one member of the public being abusive to them.

Recently there is always a long queue to get into this site. You are greeted at the front of the queue, where you tell them what you have and they tell you where to put it. Because of covid 19, they cannot help you, so if what you have us heavy, don't go alone. Once you are inside, it's easy and quick to dispose of what you have.
