We visited October 2022 and fed the lemurs and the meerkats (prebooked and paid). It was fantastic, the staff were great, the animals were all visible and active, everything was clean and well kept. Fab day out, had a great time

Fabulous place to visit. Lots of animals to see, some I'd never heard of! My (6yo) daughter loved the rides and play parks too after a great walk around all of the enclosures. Food is a little pricey so I'd recommend taking your own to eat in the designated picnic area

Love Drusillas. Lots to do and see. Safe environment for children to play. Been going there since little one was born and still going at 9 years old!

Fun day for all ages. Nice staff, lovely clean enclosures. Tickets booked online we found cheaper than on the day so pre-book.

Fantastic place to bring the family, we brought our son here for his 4th birthday and everyone concerned loved it! Staff were so friendly and the chap running the rides really made our son's day. Cannot recommend Drusillas enough.

Really enjoyable day! Kids absolutely loved it and plenty to do and see. Would highly reccomend! Definitely worth the money. The only slight downside was the lack of a baby changing unit around the Zoo trail. But nevertheless a great day and we can't wait to visit again. (Also very friendly staff)

Absolutely loved Drusillas on our visit this week, and I haven't been since I was about 12. Lots of animals (but not of the 'big five' type), all looked well cared for & had plenty of space and enrichment. There are lots of marmosets & small monkeys, as well as meerkats, sloths, penguins, camels, lemurs, owls, red pandas, and more - plenty of variety. Ample parking, friendly staff, enough to do to occupy a whole day.

Lots of little activities and snippets of info about animals along the way to inspire children, and a great adventure playground area at the end of the zoo trail. Good options for food & not as expensive as bigger zoos, but you can bring your own picnic & there are lots of places to sit. The little train ride is also a good option to give children (or you!) a break from walking.

If you go on a weekday outside of school hols, not all the shops & cafes are open, but they make sure there's at least one of each open (further details on website). There are some attractions that have an extra charge (e.g. SPARK - an interactive sensory play area (£2), a tall climbing wall, a big inflatable slide) but many of the other fairground-type rides are included in the entrance fee.

The £30 entrance price may put some people off (especially as any children over 2yrs old are charged the same as an adult), but booking in advance online gets you a decent discount, and the cost to the zoo for the high standard of the animal enclosures & maintenance make the prices understandable (one of the keepers explained the penguin pool refurbishment is costing around £10K). There are other discounts available if you google them - for example, as of Oct 2022 GroupOn are doing deals & you can use Clubcard vouchers).

N.B. Pics are not exhaustive, just a few examples.

Great place to take the kids although a little costly - definitely recommend paying online at least a day before as you get 20% off

Bigger than we thought it was going to be,food choice was a bit limited, however the animals seemed well looked after and renovations are on going which is good to see, staff are friendly and helpful, mainly aimed at kids but 2 adults and 1 grumpy oap spent 4-5 hours wondering about so can't be that bad.

Came with a school. It cost a fortune. However, despite us bringing a LOT of children in addition to the general public being there, one ride was open at a time and several cafés were shut. The gift shop is massively overpriced and the lady on the till doesn't like children, she was rude to them

Although a little bit pricey, this place was amazing. We spent the whole day there and still my child hadnt been and seen everything. Facilities are amazing, all the animals seem in very good health and look happy. There really is so much here and the food we had for lu ch was very good and good value for money. Would definitely recommend to anyone with children. They will definitely be tired out after a day here :)

Spent a day at the Zoo whilst on holiday in the area. The park is set up and geared for children, however as visiting adults the variety of animals was very interesting. We paid for an animal experience with the Penguins. This was fantastic and really enjoyable. All in all a good day out.

One of the best zoos we have visited in the UK. The drive from our house was worth a while as you go through beautiful countryside roads and the zoo is sat in beautiful hills. The zoo has variety of animals with appropriately displayed information about the animals along with ton of rides a cafeteria, restaurant, ice cream bar etc.
The train ride was also fun.
All in all great place will definitely visit again.
P.S still not sure about the name but suits it.

Very small and not really too much to see or do, was good for a one time thing but not a full day and wouldn't go again anytime soon, plus my little boy wanted his face painted but the queue was massive due to one person doing the work

Lovely place. Lots for family of all ages to enjoy.

Didn't like the fact that you had to pay extra for inflatable slide, panning for gold etc (and wasn't cheap either for these activities!).

But a fun day had by all
