Visiting during half term with a 4&7 year old, we really had a fantastic day. Highlights included seeing the playful otters, fascinating lemurs (with wonderful insights from Sandy who spent considerable time answering our questions) and lugubrious sloth not to mention all the monkeys. The play area was great with diverse equipment keeping the kids entertained for a while. The food availability was pleasantly surprising as the restaurant which is normally carnage at these type of attractions, was well controlled with healthy options available and at reasonable prices - it was quite civilised! We had a lovely time and spent from10:30 to 4:30 at the park despite the freezing cold weather. Partnering with Starbucks is an inspired call!

I promised to take my 8 & 10 yr old nieces in half term, so asked a friend with her 9 yr old girl to join us & my 1 year old son. When we arrived we went straight for lunch, the restaurant was packed, but we were instantly greeted by a friendly member of staff. We requested a table for 5 plus high chair. Within minutes a table became free and it was swiftly cleared & cleaned for us & a high chair brought straight over. There was something for everyone in the restaurant, We all left satisfied.
I was worried that my son might get slightly bored as he is not yet confident on his feet, so would have to be carried or in his pushchair all day, but he absolutely LOVED it!! He was totally enchanted by all the animals (especially the monkeys) and by the time he did get a little fidgety, we found the soft play area, & he had such fun crawling around, playing with his cousins. He also really enjoyed his ride on Thomas, as did the older girls, but their main enjoyment came from Hello Kitty World (where I was impressed to see ALL the rides were free), they also loved the outside play area (despite it being so cold) and finished the day with getting their hair braided in the salon!!
There really was something for everyone, all 4 children had a great day!!
I have been to Drusillas a handful of times (mainly when I was younger) but this was the 1st time since Hello Kitty World has opened (great addition!!), and since becoming a mother myself, from the big grin on my son's face all day, I think I will be visiting a lot more over the coming years!!

We went on Monday of half term with our son, daughter-in-law and grandson (nearly 3).
We were staying in the area and thought that this looked of interest to all of us, and so it proved. This was a peak time price period so it was not cheap for all of us, but we all thoroughly enjoyed our day. Our grandson was very interested in the variety of animals, in particular the penguins - they fascinated and entertained him.He enjoyed going through the tunnel to come up in the viewing dome in the meerkat enclosure, and going down a slide in the play area. Perhaps best of all for him were the rides on the Thomas the Tank Engine train. There were far more things to do than we had time for. If we are in the areas we would certainly go again.

I haven't visited Drusillas for many years, in fact I can remember when entry just to the play park, which comprised of an old tractor, a few swings and a digger in a sandpit, was just 35p! My how it has changed! What a great facility to have in our area. All is well kept, fun to be in, lots to do and learn - and at the end of the zoo trail a play area with so much to keep the children occupied! You could, if you wanted to, be there all day!
We attended Drusillas at half term to see the CBeebies characters Bing and Flop,a great favourite with my grandson and his friends, and so it was busy! Ordinarily half term should be avoided if possible, but even though it was cold and busy it was manageable! Staff were friendly and helpful. The Explorers Cafe manager was extremely helpful getting all eight of us a table for lunch and the food didn't disappoint - plenty of choice for adults and children at reasonable prices. The zoo was excellent with the added bonus of a free booklet and stamping system for the young ones to check off
animals they had seen. To finish we had a ride on the Thomas train which rounded off our visit well! and we didn't see everything!
In conclusion, I would say Drusillas does give value for money when you consider what their overheads would be to keep the animals as well as they do. However there are ways to save money on the price if you are prepare to do your homework!

My son loves this place and always loved to see the animals, that inn fairness will it impress adults. However this is not an adult entertainment zone and they really know what kids want. That said, like many zoos they are not places to go in winter as there is often maintenance work being carried out and animals like the cold as much as humans. Also many of the rides and the restaurants are closed. While prices Are reduced, they are not reduced in alignment with reduction of activity - I am sure by spring things will be fixed and animals perky and visible - until then don't expect the same experience as in the Summer months.

Lovely family day out at Drusilla's with 2 young boys. Lots to do and the staff were so friendly - they really made the effort. The boys loved seeing the animals, going on Thomas and spent ages in the soft play area.

Me and my two children come here very offer as we are all members. However I'm not sure we would come if we had the pay £16+ each to get in for the day. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the park is very clean and well looked after. The animals look very happy and well cared for. My only criticism is the price of seeing Father Christmas.. I'm sure last year it wasn't £10 each child?! I feel £5 is plenty to ask. After all £20 for my two to wait 40 mins in the freezing cold to then get the same teddy, don't get me wrong it was a very nice quality toy I just feel a little over priced.

We went to the park on valentines day with our 4 year old. We had been staying in the area. We had a lovely day and my little man enjoyed it so much. There are lots of things to do and see and a lovely selection of animals. Rides an things are aimed at younger children but the play parks and soft play are great. We loved watching the otters play with the stones. The flamingos are beautiful and my boy enjoyed playing the timer games around the park. The splash park opens in the summer which I think will be a wonderful addition. It isn't a cheap experience to do and I would suggest booking on line to save that little bit. We had food in the explorer's cafe. Food was reasonable in taste but I do think that the Park needs to review the 1.50 for extra filling on the jacket potatoes as this is a huge mark up on foods such as beans. (After all its not a la cart folks) there are a few places to eat across the park. We had a fabulous day and my little man fell asleep instantly as we got into the car......always a sign of a contented child.

One of the most amazing zoo's I have been to (and that is a lot) so much to do and so much to see.. my boyfriend took me while we stayed in Brighton and it really was such an amazing experience! The animals all looked so so happy, the enclosures where outstanding. some Zoos your find the animals look bored or stressed here they all where running around the pens, on show and looking happy!

Beautiful place with lovely staff! Perfect for children with the huge range of activities!
Toilets are extremely clean and seen as its a zoo.. it was spotless!

Drusillas should be extremely proud of the zoo they have created and if your looking for a day out with the family or maybe just you and your partner this is perfect!
So much to do and you can personally interact and feel involved with the animals, feeding times, the farmyard, the plastic bubbles which allows you to feel as if you are in with the animals! the Animals are all awake and happy and engaging!

You can see here the animals and facilities are all well looked after!

While yes the prices are a little steep you can expect this from anywhere but with such a wide variety and outstanding zoo I was more than satisfied when leaving and would pay it over and over again! I will be back!

Had a lovely visit with my 2 daughters one a teenager and my grandson whose one. My daughter and grandson have a yearly pass so I decided to go for a trip with them and my teenage daughter. We had a lovely time albeit a tad chilly but having a price tag of £18 per person so £36 for my daughter and I , I found a tad pricey. Have visited zoos like this in France and £36 would be for a family of four. I really think that £10 / £12 a ticket would be a more welcome charge to those not really needing a yearly pass . But all in all a good day out I'm sure esp in the summer but do get there early as it was very busy . Also the front entrance can be a bottle neck as everyone wants to have a good look at the mice , snakes etc at the beginning of the zoo route, esp if your having to use a buggy .

We went back here for their Christmas offering, Winter Wonderland, and were really pleased we did. They had a lovely Christmas grotto, with a Father Christmas who wasn't too overbearing, which was good for our somewhat shy 3-year-old. The pressie she got was a really nice quality polar bear, and we didn't have to queue for ages either, which is a bonus with a toddler. They also had real reindeer and a 'hug a husky' cave which added to the festive feel. They had a Christmas light show too, set to music, so all in all a great day out to get in the Christmas mood! Plus all the usual stuff (animals, Thomas, Hello Kitty) you'd expect from Drusillas. We'll definitely be going back for Winter Wonderland next year. :-)

Enjoyable day had by us all. 6 adults and 4 children. The animals were great and the kids enjoyed going in the plastic bubble which was right in the middle of the meerkats enclosure. Although it was a very cold day in January we all kept warm by getting involved in the many interactive events to do around the park. Trying to run as fast as a cheeter, or climb as high as a gibbon. The adventure playground was excellent for the different climbing, swinging or sliding activities available. Will go again in the summer. Can't wail

Annual passholder. Beautiful backdrop. Southdown's and alfriston stunning. Lovely family zoo, excellent climbing equipment for children of all ages. Three small rides in hello kitty and one train ride which is Thomas. Great place for families to visit in sussex. Paddling pool and a new splash pad coming soon. Slight snag there isn't much for the older child. Fast food and separate on site cafe available, two gift shops and a candy store. Seasonal themed events and a fabulous light show at Xmas.

What a great day we spent in family at Drusillas Park.
Really good attraction, with Zoo, pool, Hello Kitty house, Thomas the train and all the other attractions. My little daughter loved so much that still mentions it today.
Really good day out with the kids and family.

Haven't been since my son was 3 , he is now 21! Was looking after my nephew who is 8 and decided to take him today.
I thought it was expensive for the 3 of us (£51) BUT to be honest it was worth the money.
So much for kids to do as you go around.
You can pick up for free an animal spotter book, which you stamp each time you see that animal, also a free zoolympics challenge record book.
These were great and kept him entertained.
Gift shop was reasonable priced, as was the restaurants.
Food was nice.
Glad we went when it was quiet don't think I could cope in peak season.
Saw a few animals being fed which was great.
Excellent day out , if you have small children I would if you could afford it , their annual pass as I feel it is worth the money.

Well it was my treat for the nephews and nieces and great nieces and nephews and it was a hit. Our ages were 4-64 and we all loved it. I was very impressed with the animal enclosures which were all clean and fresh and had real vegetation. Roomy and appropriate. There are tons of see/touch exhibits which the kids and adults alike enjoyed! The food was fast but very good and the playground was a real hit to let off steam (for the 64 year old-ha ha). We will be going back in the Summer for sure.

When I arrived, I was greeted punctually, and very warmly welcomed- a great start to the day. I got to work with a widely varied group of animals, and was included in talks and feeding the animals on timetable. I was also allowed to mix food for two of the animals and my keeper told me a smile hadn't left my face all day. I highly recommend this outing!

We went to Drusillas Park many years ago and thought we would give it another go.

I'm glad we did.

Lots of animals to see although to be fair most are from the monkey family but nonetheless great to watch. Especially, when they are feeding and pulling crickets apart and eating them. Kept us amused for ages.

Loved the trivia as you walk around the park.

We were very lucky when we were there that it was very quiet and a times thought we were the only ones in there.

The outdoor play area is huge and you could easily spend a few hours playing on there.

Nice soft ball play area again could keep your little ones occupied for a while.

When we visited the train wasn't working but maybe next time.

I considered buying the annual pass but forgot all about it until I got home and to take advantage of using that ticket off the price of the annual ticket it's needs to be done on the day.

I would definitely recommend Drusillas Park.

This was my Christmas present from my partner. I had the most amazing day, I enjoyed every second of it. The keeper I was assigned to, Julie was lovely. I spent a packed 5 & a half hours & got up close to so many wonderful creatures. I would love to do it again some day.

I love Drusillas and have done for the last few years since my grandson was one year old. It is the perfect place to take him and he loves going! There is so much for him to do and it is such a safe place for him to be able to roam a little, within my sight obviously.

The animals seem very well looked after and the staff are very professional and kind.

There are a great selection of different animals for the children to see through enclosed and open areas. You can pay extra to have the children feed the animals with the keepers.

There are a lot of outdoor play areas suitable for toddlers through to older children. The weather does need to be fair though in order to make use of them.

There is an indoor play area where the children can climb, shoot foam balls, slide etc. There is also a smaller inside area for toddlers.

The food at the cafeteria is of a high quality and have a wide selection and for the adults there is a starbucks offering coffees.

Thomas the tank engine ride travels round the park and the children love riding the train.

There is a swimming pool for nicer days which is shallow and has a few items to entertain them whilst they are in the pool.

If you want to bring your own food there is an outdoor picnic area.

Well worth the money and if you are going to be coming back often consider the annual pass.

What a wonderful day we had at Drusillas! Though it was a bit grey and rainey there were attractions galore and the zoo elements was very well set up so that there are sheltered areas where you can experience the animals and still keep relativly dry!. There was a fantastic variety of animals, more than the usual nature park and information about the aniamals was great for the kids to learn about their different environments and conservation plans. The play zones were great as we have an 8 year old and four years old, after the wonderful Hello Kitty world and Thomas train rides there was a huge outdoor play area and then the indoor Amazon Adventrue where the kids easily spent a good hour!! Coffees and cakes were very nice and the food was very pleasent too, costs were actualy pretty normal for a day out, so go along execting to pay around £4 for kids and more for adults, but there is lots of choice and good sized meals. I would say that a day out here comes highly recommened!

We came here to day to the park from Medway today came with my little ones 8 and 7 first thing the park is very clean and tidy the staff where very helpful and polite at all times my two like the guy on the hello kitty cars my son asked if he could go on again the guy said no problem kept asking the guy to make it go faster we had the day there in the park the zoo was again very clean and tidy the animals looked happy and well fed .The guy on the train ride was very polite and helpful the only thing I would say about the park I felt was let down by the cost of the food in the park I guess it's not any more expensive than other parks but when you have paid £53 to get in to the park then to be charged £18 for three meals seems a lot to me then you pay for some of the other things in the park could be very expensive for some people on a budget ref to the cost of food I would say take your own food and drinks with you to keep the cost of the day down love mr cheeky in Kent x

Not only did I used to visit here when I was younger, I now bring my son and my step daughter every couple of months :) we absolutely love it here. The character events through the year are fantastic. In 2015 we met Peppa and George, Fireman Sam and Scooby Doo. My son is the biggest fireman Sam fan in the world so was in absolute amazement when we met him :) I generally steer clear of the zoo and just use the park for the amusements etc. There is so much for the kids to do and they always leave absolutely shattered from all the excitement! Try to take a picnic as the food is expensive as most family attractions are, and make sure you book online or wait for special offer tickets as the prices at the gate are expensive. We love coming here and will continue to do so for many years to come :)
