An excellent day out with the family. There is almost too much to do! It is especially good if you have younger children.

Visited on Wednesday with my six year old daughter and she had a fantastic day. There is so much to do lots of small animals to visit and the Hello Kitty secret garden is good for little girls especially, also the Safari train is worth a ride. Paw Patrol characters were there when we went and the photo opportunity is well organised. It does get very busy so be prepared to wait for attractions and ice creams on a hot day! Overall good value for money.

I went yesterday with my two sons (6&7), my nephew (8) and my sister. The weather wasn't great to start but by lunchtime the sun was shining.
The talks by the keepers were pitched just right. The kids learnt so much. There were activities for them to do all the way round the animals. We got to the play areas in time for lunch. The climbing and playing areas were fantastic and safe. The food options were spot on. They kept three fussy eaters happy. Huge portions too!!!!
Then we made the most of the sun and went to Get Wet!!! Great fun!!!! Take swimming stuff!!!
We didn't do any of the pay extra activities but did pretty much everything else!!!
Fab day.
£95 for a family ticket is too pricey, but thankfully we used a Tesco voucher which made it affordable.

Great for kids! Loads of animals to see and two big playpark areas. A water play area for hot days and loads of slides, swings, zip lines etc. Softplay for the babies and a train ride around the park.

Worth trying to go on a weekday to avoid the crowds. Plenty of places to eat packed lunches or on-site food is available too.

My 12 year old son and 8 year old daughter both did 'Keeper For The Day' but on separate days. I accompanied them both. I can't recommend it highly enough, both days were absolutely brilliant. Oli and Willow LOVED it and would both like to do it again.

We saw and fed so many animals and amongst other experiences during the day, we had Meerkats and Lemurs jumping on us, owls landing for a feed on our arm and hand fed the Red Pandas. It's a wonderful, educational experience and very hands on. Tailored to suit the child too so if they want to get very involved they can, if not then that is not a problem either. The Keepers who look after you for the day are very good with children and make them feel instantly comfortable.

Thank you for some great memories for my children (and me!)

We took our niece (2.5) and nephew (8) here for the day and what a full, fantastic day it was. So much to see and do. Lots of areas to sit with your picnic. Everywhere spotlessly clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend it for all ages. Nigel & Louise (East Sussex).

Pros: Good amount of animals, our tot didn't get bored, parking facility very close to park, you could get lockers you want, but there is no need to pay extra for that, you can re-enter park, fantastic playgrounds to include small "water park" which is a combination of different fountains but kids love it (take swimming suit, even if you don't think of going there, I didn't take and I regretted). This zoo is very easy to navigate, simple, easy to read layout, good signage, one direction so you don't get lost. There is a shortcut if you want to skip zoo and go straight to playground.

Cons: food served on site, probably worst burger I ate, cheap ketchup and mayo, not bad chips and jacket potato though.

Would I go back there? Definitely yes. We did enjoy our day out. Allow whole day for this attraction.

I bought my wife and daughter a 'Close Encounter Animal Experience' voucher as a birthday present, and they chose a 'Meerkat Meeting', and had a fantastic time! They certainly got up close and personal with the meerkats, who scampered all over them and were very friendly. My daughter hasn’t stopped taking about it ever since, and says she now wants to meet some more animals at close quarters! The Keepers who introduced them to the meerkats were great, and really contributed to making the experience extra special. We spent the whole day at Drusillas, and really enjoyed ourselves there, as we always do, and we thought the new 'Go Safari' attractions were great.

Fantastic family day out, great for all ages. The new go safari is brilliant! The go safari train has more to see and spot than when it was the Thomas ride and my Thomas mad toddler was just as excited to go on it as before. Definitely recommend a visit!

Lots to do and see. My kids loved seeing the animals and there are so many places for them to play. There is a water park so next time we go in the summer we will remember our swim shorts!

Went here on a rainy Bank Holiday Monday in early May 2017. Despite the torrential downpours we still had a brilliant time with the two children, aged 5 and 3. The rides were just right and fun enough for the kids to enjoy without them being too overwhelmed. The sun came out after lunch and it made the animals come out of their habitats. The train ride around the animal park was fun and just about long enough to keep the kids entertained without saying they were bored. Lovely park, clean and varied facilities, children's play areas were fantastic and the food at the cafe was reasonably priced and tasted pretty good. We will definitely be returning in the summer and I would highly recommend a visit.

Came with my partner, little boy and 8 year old daughter. We spent all day here. There's so much to look at and lot's of activities to do. The littke train ride was great! The keepers were very informative around the park and talked to us about the animals we learnt lots and they were very friendly. There was lots of animals to look at my little boy was amazed. By the end he was tired out (in fact we all were) the price to get in was quite steep but it was worth it! However the food in the explorers cafe wasn't great. Overall a great experiece and glad we came 😁

Loads for young children to do, easily spent the whole day there, my friends children aged 5 and 10 had a great time, they actually enjoyed all the activities more than the animals. Unfortunately the new rides are not open yet but will be even better when they are. Feeding time at the penguin pool was a highlight and the keeper very knowledgeable. The female keeper who showed us the bats/sloth and rare monkeys today was also excellent, really warm and friendly and could tell she loved her job. Highly recommended for children. We booked online and saved money.

Had visited friends in Eastbourne for the weekend so promised our son a day out at Drusilla's on the way home.
What an excellent day we had. As someone who has studied animal management I was extremely impressed with the enclosures, information provided was aimed at younger children and an animal stamp book was provided.
The enclosures explained what enrichment was and the species-specific enrichment used for each animal.
There were lots of quirky little activities around every corner such as a model giraffe with a periscope so that children can see through a giraffe's perspective.
There were animals that I'd never seen before so for me it was quite exciting.
I especially loved 'Petworld' which provided information on different species of pets, including the ease of care and how expensive/inexpensive the animal would be.
After we'd walked around the zoo we arrived at the play parks where our son just ran into the mass of colour and equipment, he absolutely loved it and we enjoyed the sit down.
There are different parks for different age groups and even a splash park. And a free train ride. And rides in the Hello Kitty garden however our little one didn't want to go in there. Two new rides were being built and were due to open the weekend after we visited.
We brought a picnic I so I can't comment on food prices however the restaurant itself was African themed and I really enjoyed the decor inside.
This park is aimed at younger children and families, we really enjoyed ourselves and will return later in the year.

I am from north Kent and travelled down to this park, expecting a smaller chessington. It wasn't far off, just a lot less rides.

It wasn't a bad place, it's just not worth driving over an 90 minutes for. I expect that the local people from Bournemouth and Brighton would make good use of it.

Was great to take my little daughter here as I used to visit when I was a kid. Not a lot has changed, in away (which is a good thing), though the play areas and rides are bit more advanced. There's plenty to do and we had a good day. The animals seem well looked after and there's a good variety of play areas.

The entry price is high, compared to similar attractions elsewhere in the UK (e.g. Crealy Park), but I think this would be OK if it wasn't for charging extra for little things like a sandpit. Now I know Drusillas will come back with a comment along the lines of " there is more than enough to do without the need to pay for extras" - but you try telling a two year old she can't go in the sandpit, which is highly visible next to the main picnic/lunch area!

Kids just love this place. It has never failed to entertain the families that I taken there. The playground is an unqualified hit with kids. Even when the weather hasn't been great. There is an indoor play space and they are growing their attractions. Well worth a visit.
