Lovely little zoo, the animals are so close so it's great for smaller children. The play areas can get a bit manic and sometimes bigger children push younger ones out of the way to get to activities. Brilliant being able to go in and feed the birds with nectar, really recommended. We always enjoy our visits.

My daughter has an excellent time and was able to see her favourite animal in a Sloth experience. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable and informative. The zoo seems to have picked species that are best suited to smaller environments and the interpretation was on hand too.
My only is issue is about the lost opportunity for sustainable practice.

1. Most of the species come from areas of the developing world where communities can struggle for income, why can’t products in the cafe and shop be fair trade? Or local produce from food through to gifts?
2. Most of the toys in the gift shop are mass produced, contain plastic and are shipped from the other side of the world, is this good practice or a good message!? Even Star Wars stuff? Not overly relevant, Star Wars is great but it is a Zoo!
3. Plastic water bottles from Wales! There is a company based in the South Downs but how about a water fountain to refill? Also recycling wasnt happening in the cafe and bins weren’t clear.
4. Messaging, what can people do to help wildlife locally and internationally? Missed opportunity when people leave to get their commitment
5. The Zoo is in the South Downs National Park, could there be an opportunity to highlight some of the local and import wildlife in the park with interpretation with the national park authority in partnership. I’d be happy to point you in the right direction on this one
6. Electric car charging points in the car park?

My first visit here was nearly 40 years ago, it’s a magic little zoo which my family are all fond of. I just think a lateral approach to sustainable products in waste, catering and retail could be really beneficial as well as social messaging and economic support for related communities, in Sussex and from where the animals come from.

Lovely zoo, doesn't take long to walk around but they've crammed a lot into the small area they have and everything is well looked after.

Drusillas Park seems to add more exciting rides or things to do and see each time we visit. The new carousel was beautiful and the children enjoyed riding on the different animals and birds. Viewing the animals is very easy and you can see them close up and not all behind bars or glass. They seem to be well looked after and we saw several young monkeys which indicates that the animals are happy. Everywhere was very clean and they really cater for young children.

Nice zoo/park. Minimum height on most rides was low enough that my 4 year old niece could go on all rides, and some all by herself!!

Most things free inside, a couple pay per play attractions as seems to be the norm but enough to do without paying the extra.

Will most likely go back, but not because we missed much, park is definitely doable in a day, but because it was a jolly good day out

My Little One loved it, however, food was expensive for what it was, a slice of pizza cannot cost £4.99 or something, if ever back, will take a picnic.

Lots of fun, especially for little people.
There's a nice selection of enclosures for plenty of smaller creatures that are easy for everyone to see.
It does feel like pretty bad value for money though, especially if your not with a child as a large portion of the attraction is children's play areas.
Bringing some change with you is highly advised as there are a few bits that are not covered by the entry fee but are well worth doing (like feeding the mini parrots)
Overall it's good fun for families with kids aged 5+ so they can make the most from what's available.

Great experience and a great idea as a birthday present. My daughter got to feed so many different animals and she was sad when the day ended. Billy was great, very calm and good at explaining everything to an excited eight year old.
