This review is just for the restaurant. The food, two vegetarian breakfasts were served stone cold at the cost of £8.99. Service was by a waitress sprouting out the words "ENJOY" to every plate she plonked down before walking off as fast as she could plod.<br>The staff at the till are very good, they get the 3 stars.

Allowing for everyone having different tastes and opinions, Blackbrooks (at least the one in Sedlescombe) certainly seems to divide into those that like and those that do not! I go fairly regularly because it's close by - but have found that around only half of the plants I buy from there survive - and their plants are not cheap. Also find it very annoying that having been sent a voucher for a free gift (for my loyalty) and if I spend, say, £10 they have 'run out' of said free gift when I ask why I haven't been given one after spending over the said £10. This has happened more than once and is not the right way to treat customers. No apology given either - staff training in customer service definitely required here. Could go on...!

We were in Hastings and needed to get to Furniture Village in T/Wells so stopped by for some lunch. Boy was it busy but loads of staff in the cafe kept it all working very well. We had jackets pots, very nice. We sat in the dog friendly are because we had Milo our Lhasa Apso with us. Very impressed on our first visit.

Busy! Xmas grotto and lots of kids having a good time! We went for plants and bulbs and were very happy with our purchases. Didn't stay long as it was so packed.

First time visiting here today and enjoyed it a lot. Great choice of items and love the Christmas layout and selection.<br><br>We ate in the cafe and the staff nicely got us a breakfast even though we were almost 5 minutes over the stated finish time. My toast was a little burnt and portion was quite small but went down well.<br><br>The staff member that served us on the till, (I got her name but won't name and shame) was not the most cheerful polite server I had come across. Seemed pretty abrupt even though it wasn't busy.<br><br>The layout to us was a little confusing, we ended up spotting the signs that led us to the till but as a first time customer it was a bit of a maze!<br><br>Overall, I will be taking my Father here again for sure as a nice little trip out.

Lots of choice & reasonable prices & the staff are helpful. Great for a wander with everything you need from a garden centre & more. I've not eaten in the restaurant but it's always busy & smells lovely. Highly recommended for a wander and at Christmas it has lots of decorations & lights to choose from.
