There’s a new grocery store in town and everyone is talking about it. It’s called Heart Space Whole Foods, as brought to you by ‘Heart Space’, one of Scotland’s largest independent yoga businesses.
The store specialises in the supply of speciality, organic produce and in addition to this, there is a refreshingly good juice bar on site. If you have the opportunity to pop in, I recommend trying ‘Vitality’ (a blend of spinach, cucumber, celery, apple, ginger and spirulina). Trust me, it will set you up for the day ahead!
Owned by expert in yoga and wellbeing, Finlay Wilson and the former General Manager of the Repertory Theatre, Ian Alexander, Heart Space Whole Foods sells health foods and organic produce suited to a range of diets including vegan, paleo and gluten free. If you have a passion for Asian cuisine you’ll love the stock of Japanese and Thai cooking ingredients available. Likewise if you are Britain’s next ‘star baker’ you’ll be spoilt for choice in terms of the baking essentials on offer. To be honest, there’s something for everyone at this gem of a grocery store.
Step inside this inviting building and expect a unique shopping experience. The store’s seasonal, fresh vegetables and fruits are housed in wicker baskets, and wooden crates align the walls showcasing all Heart Space Whole Foods has to offer. In addition to this, the Heart Space juice bar has been built around the shop’s original cast iron safety deposit box, there’s a cosy seating area and even a decking area for planting! In short, the place oozes all the character you’d expect from an upcoming independent business.
Located on the cobbled streets of Exchange Street, Dundee’s ‘foodie district’, Heart Space Whole Foods is open Monday-Saturday from 9.30am until 6.30pm - the staff look forward to welcoming you!
