Warning over the sale of "White Rabbit" sweets in Coventry!

Coventry City Council food safety officers have issued a warning to the Coventry public about the health risk from certain batches of "White Rabbit" sweets manufactured in China after they were found for sale in Coventry.

Some batches of "White Rabbit" sweets on sale in Coventry have been found to be contaminated with melamine. This melamine contamination relates to the contamination of milk and milk products in China that is believed to have affected 53,000 people through illness.

The "White Rabbit" sweets are being withdrawn from Coventry shops as a precautionary measure, The Food Standards Industry believes the risk of illness associated with eating the "White Rabbit" sweets would be low.
