Restoration in Coventry

Transformation keeps moving forward in Coventry’s historic Far Gosford Street with the restoration of a former pub, 'Hand & Heart'. Returning the pub to its former glory includes plans to turn it into a business centre.

The restoration work is part of plans to revitalise the rundown medieval street, which boasts 15th century grade II listed buildings. “The area has the potential to be like Brick Lane in London, with lots of creativity and a seed bed for alternative start-up businesses encouraging graduates to remain in Coventry.”

Coventry is a city full of history, so it's great to see the council investing money in restoring buildings of significant value back to their former glory, rather than pulling them down and replacing them with a modern cube.

Let's keep it up so our future generations can enjoy the visual history of a city that was once the capital of England!
