New Twitter Web interface Effects Twitter Backgrounds

Many of you will have noticed that Twitter is starting to roll out their new web interface, which Twitter believes will give the end user a richer experience.

As part of the change, the new Twitter web interface has increased the width of the information bar (the bit that shows your followers, trending topics, who to follow etc) which in turn has decreased the amount of screen real estate – the ‘free’ space between the edge of the Twitter stream and your computer screen where your Twitter background images would normally appear.

If you are using Twitter Backgrounds this will affect the look and appearance of your Twitter background, although it will still look the same on larger screens (most web users use smaller screens) so you may want to consider changing your Twitter background that fits all screen sizes.
