Life Long Fan Invests in Coventry Rugby Club!

Lifelong Coventry fan, Martin Smith has shown his dedication to his home Club by investing £10,000.

Coventry born, Mr Smith has lived and worked in Hamburg for the past 35 years but still keeps up to date with the club online.

It was on their website that he read of the Board’s appeal for funds after coming out of administration and decided to show his support by investing to become a Shareholder Patron.

Mr Smith said, “I think it’s very important for people to get behind the club and I’m delighted that I’ve been able to help”.

Club Chairman, Peter Rossborough and Board member, John Maguire met with Mr Smith, who was in Coventry recently on his way to take part in the final stage of Dallaglio’s Cycle Slam. The 55 year old begins his ride from Rosslare to Edinburgh today to raise money for Sport Relief and the Board showed their gratitude by donating to his current charity campaign.

John Maguire said, “We would like to thank Martin most sincerely. The support of such a loyal fan is really invaluable and a tremendous boost to the club’s fundraising effort”.
