Martial Arts are not just about fighting and self defence, especially when it comes to kids. Martial Arts should be a fun activity that children enjoy; after all it’s proven that children learn more through watching and playing.
At The Way of the Martial Arts Centre in Coventry the instructors now teach the award-winning ‘Little Dragons’ programme which is a revolutionary way of teaching young children valuable life skills based on techniques taken from martial arts.
The ‘Little Dragons’ class is split up into several short exercises usually in the form of games aimed to develop core attributes such as agility, balance and focus in a fun and exciting way.
The ‘Little Dragons’ is suitable for children between 4 and 9 years old and has proved to be very popular with the kids, so much so, that The Way of the Spiritual Warrior have now introduced the all new ‘Karate Party’ a combination of games, fun and entertainment that all kids of every age will enjoy.
Parents are always welcome to come along to watch their ‘Little Dragons’ in action or you could join one of the Family Martial Arts Classes held in the Coventry club.
For the slightly older children (9 – 14 years) there is the ‘Urban Dragons’ programme that includes Anti- Bullying techniques.
