Jack Pokoj plans to swap the pavements of Coventry for the streets of New York to raise cash for a cancer charity. Jack flies to the Big Apple to take part in November's New York Marathon - and the 48-year-old hopes to raise hundreds of pounds for Breast Cancer Care. Jack, lives in Radford, runs a management consultancy and trains at the Ricoh Arena Health and Fitness club, decided to raise cash for the charity after one of his best friends was diagnosed with the disease just before Christmas. A keen runner, he took on the challenge of the city's Godiva Half Marathon and the Great North Run before setting his sights on a marathon. Jack has now completed both the London Marathon and the Paris Marathon in under four hours, and now want to conquer the event on the other side of the Atlantic. "New York's one of the biggest marathons in the world and I wanted to do it for charity".
