Coventry hit maker, Pete Waterman, to produce this year’s UK entry for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Pete Waterman is a multi award winning music maestro responsible for producing and writing more than 200 music hits over a music career that spans three decades.

One of the highest-grossing producers of all time, Coventry’s Pete Waterman has worked with Pop’s best  from Kylie Minogue, Westlife, Donna Summer and Bananarama to Dead or Alive, Rick Astley and Steps.

Now Pete’s challenge is to produce the song selected for the Eurovision 2010, which takes place is Oslo, Norway , in May.

Pete says, “Life’s full of challenges and I’m relishing the opportunity to put my own stamp on this one.”

Originally from Coventry, Pete Waterman holds numerous awards including several Ivor Novellos and was awarded an OBE in 2004 for his services to music.

Last year, the UK finished a respectable fifth in the competition and Pete’s hoping to take it to the top this year.

Good Luck and let’s hope we get a fantastic act performing a memorable song for this year’s competition and finish first!
