60 Minute Makeover transforms a home in Coventry and local florist is asked to help!
I had the privilege recently to be asked if I would create floral arrangements for three of the rooms in a house just up the road from my shop on Princethorpe Way in Coventry. The house had been chosen for the ITV television programme – 60 Minute Makeover - and they found me on thebestof Coventry!
It all started with an email at the beginning of August from Jessica, one of the programme’s coordinators, asking if I would be available to provide the floral arrangements they needed for the final shots at the end of ITV’s 60 Minute Makeover programme.
Further emails from Sophie Robinson, the designer, outlined the specific requirements and more details of the flowers, colours, and design that they visualised for the completed rooms.
Sophie wanted each room to have a different colour theme for the flower displays, so I created a dramatic red display for the living room, three delicate blue sprays for the bedroom and a fabulous purple creation for the dining room.
I delivered them to the house at 11:30am on the Friday morning of filming. The 60 Minute Makeover team were rushing around trying to complete their individual tasks – and I can’t tell you how much stuff was chucked in the skip!
I’m extremely proud that Buds Florist was chosen for this show and glad that I could add the finishing touches to the newly transformed home.
The whole experience has been fabulous for my florist shop. The programme is due to go out sometime at the beginning of the New Year and I can’t wait to see the finished result!
