This summer Nicola Cuggy, Trainee Solicitor at Hillyer McKeown, will be cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats as part of an organised trip.

Cycling over 1,000 miles over a 14 day period, Nicola will be covering up to 90 miles per day as she makes her first ever ‘end to end’ journey.

“I’m so excited to be taking part” said Nicola “I’ve never done anything like this before, however I’m focused on completing this trip as it’s an opportunity for me to fundraise for a very worthwhile local charity and a cause close to my heart. I’ve chosen to support Hoylake Cottage because of the amazing work they do in caring for older people and those with dementia.”

Nicola continued “Dementia has been a very prominent issue in my family over the last 12 months and its thanks to the good work of charities like Hoylake Cottage that we’ve had somewhere to turn to for support.”

Sarah Green, Community Fundraiser for Hoylake Community added “The work we do here at Hoylake Cottage for older people and those with dementia is reliant upon the support we receive from people such as Nicola. It is through this support that we have been able to build our new kitchen and laundry. We hope that Nicola’s challenge will encourage others to follow in her footsteps, or pedals, to raise funds for Hoylake Cottage”.
