The prestigious annual award was presented to Jonathan Slater, The Chester Grosvenor and Spa’s managing director, this week.

Pride of Britain is a consortium of independently-owned luxury hotels that offer the very best that the UK has to offer in hospitality, fine dining and customer service.

The Pride of Britain award is the latest in a series of accolades for The Chester Grosvenor and Spa.

Earlier this year the ‘Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor’ restaurant was awarded its 21st consecutive Michelin star.

Shortly afterwards La Brasserie, the hotel’s Parisian style restaurant, was awarded two AA Rosettes.

The Pride of Britain award is for outstanding hospitality and is based on the findings of mystery guest visits.

Mr Slater said: “I am so proud and delighted that The Chester Grosvenor and Spa has been voted by our peers as the Pride of Britain Hotel of the Year for 2011.

“This is, of course, a reflection on every single member of the team who focuses on ensuring that our guests receive faultless service at all times that not only meets but hopefully exceeds their expectations.”

The award was presented to Mr Slater by George Goring OBE at Pride of Britain member hotel The Goring in London.
