Research conducted by the Brookson Enterprise Freelance Fair has highlighted that all North West businesses need more sales.

Yet, when businesses were asked if they felt left behind by the Internet only 4% said yes.

In relation to social media marketing, 39% declared a concern and 31% had doubts about their mobile marketing efforts.

Neil Lewis, organiser of the Brookson Enterprise Freelance Fair said “these results tell us that nearly all North West companies have an internet presence but the fact that 100% of companies are concerned about sales suggests that their websites are not working optimally”.

Lewis continued “the fact that only 39% of companies felt left behind by social media suggests that nearly two thirds of North West businesses have embraced this new medium. However, the concern about overall sales indicates that businesses have not yet figured out how to turn this medium into a source of valuable leads or sales.”

“Part of the reason for these results”, says Lewis, “is that many businesses lack the internal resources to deal with the new and rapidly changing marketing and sales methods that the internet, social media and mobile marketing offer”.

“This is why we created the Brookson Enterprise Freelance Fair – to allow businesses and agencies to connect with successful local freelancers who are living and breathing these new media and can now bring their success, knowledge and skills to bear quickly and easily” added Lewis.

The event will be attended by freelancers, start up entrepreneurs, media owners, creative & digital agencies and marketing managers /directors.  It has been designed to help businesses find ways to generate additional sales, new freelance clients, original creative ideas or simply to increase access to freelance talent.

Delegates can sign up for the fair at http://www.EnterpriseFreelanceFair.co.uk which will take place on the 14th October in Wirral/ Liverpool, 9th November in Manchester and 19th November in Daresbury, Cheshire.
