Show homes open at Millstone View on Saturday (July 27)

Picturing the perfect brand new home will be easy for Flintshire buyers with the opening of show homes at Redrow’s Millstone View development.

Homes at the Penymynydd development have been selling “off plan” since February. This Saturday (July 27) will be the first chance for buyers to see inside professionally styled and fully furnished properties.

To mark the occasion, Redrow is extending an open invitation to view the show homes. During the launch event the homebuilder will be laying on entertainment including a brass band and face painter.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to view bespoke art work created by students from Newcastle-Under-Lyme College as part of an ongoing collaboration with Redrow.

Caroline Thompson-Jones, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (NW), said: “The success of our previous development Heritage Park in Penymynydd and the opportunity to view show homes in nearby Chester has given buyers the confidence to buy off plan at Millstone View. More than a dozen properties have already been snapped up and the first residents are due to move in later this summer/ early autumn.

“We also have an ever-growing list of people keen to see inside the show homes and will be rewarding them for their patience by opening four properties for viewing. Each features bespoke artwork produced by students to complement the décor and is sure to be a real talking point amongst visitors.”

The show homes at Millstone View are examples of the Oxford Lifestyle, which has an en-suite to each of the three bedrooms; the Ludlow and Warwick house types, also with three bedrooms; plus the four-bedroom Cambridge.

Working in teams, 26 NULC students produced artwork covering a range of themes including nature and architecture. The collaboration is managed by Redrow’s in-house Interior Design Team, who also judge and place the final pieces.

The winning entries can be found in the kitchen of the Warwick; the hall stairs and landing of the Ludlow; and the living rooms of the Oxford Lifestyle and Cambridge show homes.

Lecturer Andrea Birch-Machin said: “The collaboration with Redrow provides valuable experience for students interested in both bespoke artwork and interior design as a potential future career option at an early stage of their creative journey. It gives them an understanding of exact client requirements, specific interior specifications and how to tailor their creativity to meet these demands. They also get to keep their original art work for their portfolio, which they will take either to university, apprenticeship or job interviews, the inclusion of which adds to their skill base and professional association.”

Currently the development has three and four-bedroom detached homes from £304,995.
