Opportunity to have your say in future Business Support for SME’s
23rd September 2010

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) is currently reviewing its approach to business support. They have commissioned SQW Ltd (www.sqw.co.uk) to undertake quantitative and qualitative research with businesses across England, to inform this review.

As part of the research, they are undertaking a series of focus groups to find out what businesses like yours think about:

  • the information, advice and support currently available (from both private and public sectors)
  • what the government’s role should be in this area, and businesses’ requirements of publicly-funded information, advice and support.

SQW is undertaking two focus groups in the centre of Manchester at 1 Portland Street on 30 September 2010, and would like to invite you to participate in one of these. Each session will last no more than two hours (the first at 8am-10am; and the second at 11.30am-1.30pm) with refreshments provided.

This is an opportunity for your business to help influence government policy, as everyone’s views will be taken into account.

If you would be interested in participating, please send an email to manchestergroup@sqw.co.uk, giving your name and phone number. The researchers will then get in touch.

If you have any queries about the research, then please get in touch via the email address above or by calling Jonathan Cook at SQW (0113 389 9734).
