During a short visit to Cheshire whilst conducting cookery demonstrations at the Mold Food Festival, renowned AA Rosette and Michelin award winning chef, Jean-Christophe Novelli, chose leading Cheshire hotel the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa for a sumptuous evening meal and overnight stay.

Conveniently located just a five-minute drive from Chester city centre and set in stunning grounds, the 4-star Grosvenor Pulford – owned and operated by Nelson Hotels – made the ideal location for Novelli’s stay, whilst head chef Leigh Myer’s reputation for first-class cuisine sealed the choice.

During his short stay, Novelli, accompanied by Italian Celebrity Chef Felice Toccini, who assisted him at the festival, enjoyed the superb facilities and outstanding customer service at The Grosvenor Pulford; indulging in an evening meal in one of Cheshire’s finest restaurants, Ciro’s Brasserie.  The magnificent Mediterranean style restaurant serves modern European cuisine, made freshly using only the finest ingredients, all sourced as locally as possibly, and complemented by a choice of fine wines from around the world.

As a renowned AA Rosette and Michelin award winning chef and restaurateur, Novelli was eager to offer his feedback to the team at Ciro’s Brasserie. To their delight he delivered high praise, scoring ‘excellent’ for quality of service, quality of food, quantity of food, ambience and value for money!

Leigh Myers, executive head chef at The Grosvenor Pulford, comments: “It was an absolute pleasure to welcome legends Jean-Christophe Novelli and Felice Toccini to The Grosvenor Pulford, and in particular Ciro’s Brasserie.  I had the opportunity to take them on a tour, and they had immense praise for the hotel, the service and the food.  It is always fantastic to receive positive feedback from our guests, and when it comes from such an influential culinary figure, it makes it all the more special.”
